First things first: I certainly didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either…read more Pros: clean, great toys and play areas, lots of classes, and absolutely incredible crafts. Mrs. Cindy is wonderful. The office staff is helpful. I appreciated that they did a weekly bible lesson with the kids. The events were very sweet. Cons: When they advertise they believe in play... They mean it. There is very little to no formal teaching done here. I suppose that this is ok if that's what you want... but coming from another pre-k where there was more of a balance between learning and play I felt like this was just glorified day care. Pick up/drop off made me feel like cattle. It's truly awful. Parents are made to wait in line and it takes FOREVER to drop off and then later receive your child. I also felt like there was not enough discipline and teachers didn't want to correct bullyish children. Time after time I would hear from my daughter and her friends about how aggressive a boy was to her and others in the class and the staff wouldn't do anything about it. When I brought it up to the staff they said "yes we are aware he has some aggression, and we talk to him about his choices." Um.... Okay. The issues continued throughout the year so I don't think talking to him helped, nor did it make other kids feel heard. That was irresponsible, and in my opinion PEP should have sent the kid packing. Another thing: the dreaded snack schedule. There are very specific rules about what you can bring and what you cannot... I appreciate that they don't want the kids to be consuming tons of sugar and candy. I can understand requesting that things like cookies and brownies not be brought. I was baffled at how often they allowed homemade muffins to be brought in (no nutrition label, high sugar). Muffins are essentially cake without frosting so this seems particularly hypocritical. Not only that, but my daughter has a severe corn allergy and was once fed a corn bread muffin another parent brought in. They were sincerely apologetic, and even called later to check on her. I know accidents happen, but if they would have had a muffin (or no homemade) ban this would have been avoided. Lastly, they are parking Nazis. I once was walking into the school with my arms full of grocery bags filled with healthy snacks, my 4 year old holding onto my arm, and a crying 2 year old who I had just woken out of a dead sleep tearing at me like a freaked out cat. I clearly could have used a hand and some grace. Instead, a woman came running out and told me to move my car which was in fact, legally parked but not in a space as I was planning on being in & out. The loving thing would have been to say "do you need some help? Let me grab one of those bags for you!". Instead, I was told to move my car immediately. So with my youngest child screaming bloody murder on my hip, my arms overflowing with a gallon of milk and 2 bags of groceries and a 4 year old at my side, I told the sassy office woman "not now, I'll be back in 2 minutes", went in, dropped off my stuff, and walked quickly back to my car feeling embarrassed and angry. Overall, I think PEP is ok. There's a huge wait list and so many people sing it's praises. Unfortunately, I think that's a lot more hype/eliteness talk then anything else. Because of our experience, we chose not to enroll my younger daughter here this year.

VACAVILLE LOCATION Recommend: NO…read more Advice: RUN Appreciation to the director, Lisa and the Bumblebee teachers (Ms. Penny, Ms. Z, and Ms. Amanda) We have a young child and am speaking from our experience with the ladybug class (1 year olds). We are sharing from a place of flexibility, a understanding that mistakes happen, and that we are all ultimately human. However, it becomes concerning when it becomes a pattern. Some teachers presented as overwhelmed, stressed, unkept, careless, burned out and not interested in the child's well-being. Here are several examples: 1. At pick up, another child was wearing our child's change of clothes, despite the clothes being clearly labeled, inside of a clearly labeled bag, AND even inside a clearly labeled cubby that displayed a 8 x 10 photo of our child. 2. A teacher would gossip about other parents in my presence. 3. Our child came home dirty everyday. Let us repeat EVERYDAY. Dirty clothes, yes, but we are referring to filthy face and hair. Dirt, food, snot. Perhaps wiping a face of a child not old enough to do it themselves is not in their standard procedure? 4. Almost weekly, our child's pacifier was being used by another child. This was documented in their posted photos to sutterfly. Teachers did catch this and we understand these are 1 year olds. however, at times teachers have been observed talking among themselves and just sitting there not presently engaging the children and makes one wonder if there were times this was not caught. 5. MULTIPLE times we were asked to update the same paperwork within days to a week of submitting the original. Perhaps misplaced? Overwhelmed? Careless? 6. Eliminating the lunch service was a disappointment. On numerous occasions, teachers verbal report of our child's food and milk intake were inconsistent with the daily written report and even the food left in their lunchbox. We had to throw out perishable items from their lunchbox after we arrived home as numerously the items (yes, nutritious) were not offered to our child at lunch time. When inquired, it was not due to the child declining the item, the teacher took the initiative and decided to save the item for the child's snack. BUT the center provides a snack and the item was forgotten to even be served at snack time. 7. The director and teachers information to parents were numerously inconsistent and contradictory. Confusing. The center did not foster an application of individual development for the 1 year olds. Infants, less than 1, are able to nap based on the child's needs. However, the 1 year old class is structured for children to only have 1 nap at a set time and bottles are highly 'discouraged.' Not child-centered. The littles are forced to fit inside this one-size-fits-all box. Again, not focused on individual development. This may work great for some children but our child at 14 months sometimes needs 2 naps. They may 'say' they will offer another nap but some teachers are not attuned to individual needs and cues. When masks were required by the State and County, a few teachers wore masks inappropriately or even not at all. Unfortunately, they were maskless for the young children that at the time didn't have the option of vaccination due to their age. This was not a isolated experience as the department of social services licensing observed a staff wearing their mask below their chin in the preschool class when required to do so.

The teachers are very caring and programming is fantastic. They are essential partners in raising her. She has a blast and learned her ABCs by 1 1/2, how to count to ten, share and more. They did the heavy lifting with teaching how to eat, use a sippy cup, and even potty train. Another upside is they prepare healthy and delicious meals on site.

Each has had his or her own strengths and struggles during their preschool experience. Without a doubt this program has always tried to meet my child where they are. Whether it meant giving them boundaries or giving them challenges, they had that child's best interest at heart. As a staff member, I very much enjoyed my time keeping the place clean and organized as well as coming up with fun and creative crafts for the kids. I was allowed to bring my personal flare in and I loved that. My children have responded positively to the environment, teaching style, and exposure to education and new experiences. I would highly recommend a tour and see if this program is the right fit for you and your child!

They never made him feel unwanted and I never worried about him not being looked out for. #4: So many fun dress up days, water days during the summer, the cutest winter recitals and a great park! #5: Just the right amount of programming placed on math, reading writing, and we would get assessments on our sons progress and where his strengths were/where he needed work. As a busy family with full time jobs we don't have a ton of time to get a head start on education so he can start Kindergarten with confidence. Little Flowers is doing that for us. #6: The price is fair, it's right around where everyone else is priced, in fact, when I was shopping for child care, this place was the most affordable in Vacaville, other than in home daycares. If you're on the fence, let this be your sign to get signed up. We did have to get on a waitlist as they do take staff to student ratios very seriously and they were full, so don't wait! Thanks again Little Flowers!

This year (2025-2026) she was technically supposed to be in TK because her birthday fell just after the cutoff for Kindergarten but we requested a kindergarten readiness assessment at our local public school and she passed with flying colors! I truly believe her success is a direct reflection of the wonderful teachers and curriculum at TFH Preschool. The staff and teachers are patient, nurturing, and genuinely invested in each child's growth. They provided the perfect balance of learning and play, building my daughter's confidence, independence, and love for school. My most favorite part was the faith-based learning; the kids practiced praying, learned how to pray for one another, and were encouraged to show kindness and gratitude every day. TFH didn't just prepare her academically, they helped her thrive socially and emotionally too. She made beautiful friendships, learned responsibility, and looked forward to going to school. We are beyond grateful for the foundation TFH Preschool gave her. It's clear that the care, structure, and creativity of this school set her up for success in kindergarten this year. I would highly recommend TFH Preschool to any family looking for a warm, enriching, and truly exceptional early learning experience!
