Well,…read morenow I know you don't need a lactation consultant through your pediatrician, you can easily see one from the hospital you delivered at. Also, lactation visits are free through most insurances, but East Cobb CHARGES YOU a doctor visit when you see Barbara. Supposedly a doctor reviews the visit notes, but I never interacted with any doctor in conjunction with my visits to her, so this sure seems like a money grab. The good: Barbara has a wonderful disposition and is so caring that she even gave me a cell phone number I could text her at with questions, which I did twice and she answered quickly both times. Very passionate. The bad: They don't have a scale that is accurate to the gram, so you can't do weighted feeds if you're trying to exclusively breastfeed. This made it tough to address a weight issue we had. They were also pretty quick to prescribe reflux medicine, which I'm not sure was medically validated looking back. It's always frustrating trying to figure out how much spit up is normal vs too much. They were hoping this would also help with the weight gain, but I'm not super happy with the level of problem solving and looking for other solutions that we saw from them. We ended up finding another pediatrician. Another caution with Barbara: in at least some cases, she does not seem to keep up with modern recommendations. Our child had breast milk jaundice and we worked so hard for weeks to keep him in by a sunny window (unswaddled! So he couldn't sleep well unless held!!) only to find out this is not recommended anymore as the level of light they receive is not enough to help.

We had just transferred from a Peditrician who is affilicated with Children's. I can't say enough about Dr. Sfeir and the team there. The front desk staff, nurses and the dcotor were amazing. They took their time with us but we also weren't there all night...they explained everything in detail and she even gave us her office number so we could call her with questions (she is not his primary care). I HIGHLY recommend this facility and Dr. Sfeir and if we ever have to our son somewhere during non office hours it will be this facility! We got there at 7 and were home by 9 with prescriptions!

Said we owe them $180 for sick tests when we've never had to pay with our insurance before for the same exact tests. Call them and suddenly oh actually you only owe $60 we sent you the wrong bill. Then after dealing with a rude woman who works in billing shaming me and telling me I don't understand how my insurance works, when I do the only thing that has changed for us is going to the this office no changed is in our insurance, never been charged for any sick tests before, my husband calls to leave a voicemail trying to talk to someone and instead of anyone getting back to him they fire us as patients and ignore his calls. They are trying to scam parents into paying their office more money. There is a reason this place has less than 4 stars on Google reviews. There's too many pediatric offices nearby with over 4 stars to be dealing with rude employees shaming me and acting like I'm the rude and stupid one. If you're thinking about this practice, think again and find somewhere with higher reviews. Pathetic. Wish I could rate them even lower than one star.

Doctor Robbins saved my son's life at his one week well visit. She heard his heart murmur and…read morenoticed his rapid breathing. She had an ambulance bring us to the Emergency Room. From there he was intubated and started on cardiac meds and life flighted to CHOA Egleston. The doctors and nurses told us that day that if he had went home with us instead of Dr. Robbins sending him to the ER, he would have passed away. My son wouldn't be here today without her. Dr. Robbins is kind, attentive, skilled, and patient. She never makes you feel silly for bringing up small concerns and she never rushes the appointment. She is always all smiles and you can tell she loves children. My son loves her and talks about her all of the time. Her nurses and assistants are also all top notch!

Unfortunately, we had to move and get a new Pediatrician. It's even more obvious how great of a doctor Dr. Robbins is when you go to a different pediatrician. She addresses many aspects of our babies life and never speeds through a visit. I appreciate that she asks about my babies feeding and sleeping schedule/habits, addresses any questions or concerns we ever have, and discusses any future changes. Other Dr's just told me that all kids get ear infections. Dr.McGee was recommended by everyone in my new neighborhood. She came into the room evaluated him and told me to get him tested for food allergies, gave him a shot of antibiotics to get rid of his ear infection, and put him on breathing treatments. 2 days later, my son improved greatly. We found out that he was allergic to dairy, wheat, nuts, and eggs. No other dr. even thought about that. She is wonderfully nice and TO THE POINT!! In 3 days, She got ride of my son's YEAR long ear infection. I LOVE her, and I feel like she saved my sons hearing. I have been taking both my sons to her for the past two years. Also, when my kids are really sick, and in rough shape, I can call the office last minute, and get in same day if I will see any Dr. there. But, my dr. is alerted, so she is aware of what is going on, and may take the appt, if she has time right than. Insurance: Blue Cross / Blue Shield
