Took great care of us as first time parents and provided tips on how to have baby sleep through night at only 4 or 5 months!

After receiving lots of push back and basically taking away my right to choose, I was seeking a new pediatrician. I came to know this practice by way of referral from a very like-minded friend of mine. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated. The usual new patient paperwork was provided and explained. They have patient advocates to assist you with things. Mine is Renee and she was super direct yet friendly. (My type of lady!) I have two daughters, ages 9 years and 4 months, who were both seen at the same time. Our doctor was Dr. Jackson. A well put together, seemingly knowledgeable professional. I appreciated that she took the time to have a discussion about my vaccination concerns. I also got all of my questions answered and didn't feel rushed like many physicians can make you feel. I am impressed with the fresh and friendly decor and smiling staff. My coordinator also provided me with a TON of free baby formula when I told them I supplement my breast milk! Really excited to share this with all of my mommy friends in Atlanta.

When I initially called to do a tour of the office and meet and greet with the doctor, the young lady (I believe her name is Kara) scheduled my visit for a few days out and I was already impressed by her professionalism over the phone and how quickly she was able to schedule a visit. Once I arrived for the office tour, I met with Kara who gave me the Ins and outs of the office and showed me all the office has to offer, from a private nursing area to a specific room for emergency situations. She also sat with me and answered the tons of questions I had about the office and then she introduced me to Dr. Jackson. I absolutely fell in love at that moment. The doctor is super sweet and personable. She explained what I would be looking forward to in terms of what to expect at each visit during the first year of my son's life and she also took plenty of time to answer the list of questions I prepared prior to meeting with her. Once my son was born and we called to schedule his first visit, they were able to see us within two days and the first visit was awesome. Dr. Jackson was soooo reassuring and super gentle with our new sweet baby and I am soooo glad that we found a doctor who truly cares for the little ones!

They only allow children who follow the exact guidance per the CDC timeline and recommended vaccines. We are interested in vaccinating our child but at a later date which allows for lesser doses. Unfortunately we were told they couldn't accommodate that request and they do require the schedule to be followed. The reason they shared was for the sake of other children in the waiting room. We were later told that they are incentivized for having 100% of their patients vaccinated (I didn't fact check this but it would make sense why they are so strict on timeline). Again, we really liked the doctors but it's unfortunate that parents don't feel they can have a say in their child's care and timeline.

Once, we were at the office for a sick visit and scheduled to see a different doctor. Dr. Melelburg saw us in the waiting room and insisted on seeing us. It's little things like consideration that make you feel like she's in this with your family for the long haul. We have two children now, but when I was a first time mom I had severe anxiety. I know Dr. Mekelburg picked up on this and was very professional and always made me feel at ease. My oldest hasn't always been the easiest child and the doctor has always been there to help guide. Having her as our pediatrician feels like a partnership. She values parent concerns and works with you. I work with children with behavioral challenges and at times consult with other colleagues and specialist to help best serve a child. That's what it feels like when I'm talking to Dr. Mekelburg. She really takes into consideration the parent's knowledge and also understands it's always different when it's your own child. This is only one of the many examples that she stands out as a fantastic doctor. The only complaint I have is waiting in the waiting room too long. Maybe it's because the doctors spend time with their patients, but I do think the wait time needs to improve.

Nurses are rude and you have to follow up 100 times for small small things. It is very difficult to reach them... I left many messages but they never call back. We requested some documents to the staff and nurse both gave lot of rude attitude. they provided us incomplete document. After few days we again reached for complete documents and they never sent it. I followup with them multiple time calls + emails still not receive the records. another issue is parking is paid and waiting time is more even you are on time. we reached early since it was our first visit. After checkin no one show up untill 30min. Our this visit took 90min and have to pay for extra parking... I will not visit this place again. Horrible service. Updates: Just spoke with the staff and nurse.. as usual with attitude and they don't even know that I requested some document. crazy people

We have been going to this practice for 5 years now with our four children. I can't say enough…read moregreat things about this practice. Dr. Reisman is great! He always takes his time with us and is super thorough. The other thing I really appreciate about him is that he gives us suggestions that are outside of the box. For example, we had major diaper rash issues with our first. We tried all the butt creams over the counter at target and nothing really worked. Dr Reisman recommended bag balm, which is a thick ointment made for cow utters. My baby's butt was as smooth as butter after just one night of using that stuff. Now we have two tins of bag balm in our house at all times. We use it for every skin issue there is. It's absolutely magical. The other thing I love about this practice is that they get you in so quickly for same day appointments. And they usually get you in to see your own doctor. The only time I've had to see another provider is when Dr Reisman was not in the office. The other providers are great too. I have not seen anyone who was less than wonderful. An example of how fast they got us in is when my 1yo had an allergic reaction to peanuts. I called the office and, instead of telling me to go to the ER, they got me in to see Samantha, the PA, right away. The support staff are all wonderful as well. I have never encountered a non-smiling face. You can't go wrong with dunwoody pediatrics.

The morning after we came home I received a call from her office wanting us to come in "immediately" (they saw the xrays that were taken at the ER) to see what could be done. They were able to get us scheduled for the next day. On our visit, her temporary cast removed, and she was immediately seen by Brandy, who spent well over 30 minutes looking at Terri's hand (a big purple "club" at the moment), talking to us, showing us the xrays, and explaining the details(in layman's terms we understood) of exactly what happened to her hand and what was going to have to be done to get to get Terri on the mend. Terri had 4 "clean" fractures on her fingers but her thumb was pretty much, to put it mildly, trashed ("A mess" in Brandy's words....lol)....totally destroyed and was going to need reconstructive surgery. She gave Terri options (yes, OPTIONS) of how things could be repaired and let her decide how she wanted to proceed.....Terri chose having everything fixed with screws / plates. Brandy scheduled Terri for surgery for 2 days after that, in fact going as far as moving a scheduled surgery she had that day up a couple hours to make room for her. On surgery day, Brandy talked to us before the surgery and made sure screws / plates were the way Terri was still comfortable with (she was ready to go with whatever Terri decided), assured both of us that everything was going to be fine, and that we were in good hands (yes, a pun). The surgery took over 5 hours to be completed, and when it was, Brandy came into the waiting room to see me and tell me how things went and what she had done...she spent 15 minutes with me which I think is so very awesome. I had a clear understanding of what she did and what Terri needed to do (and not do). She referred us to a Hand Physical Therapist very close to our home and had them call us the following day to schedule her rehab. The Therapy center didn't have an opening until about 10 days later so I made the appointment for then. The next day I received a call from the Therapist saying the Brandy called her and wanted Terri to come in a lot sooner than that, and was given an appointment for this coming Monday....I didn't call Brandy's office to suggest / ask they do that, they did it!!!! The fast that they checked on their own impressed the heck out of me. We have our followup appointment with Brandy next week and we're looking very forward to seeing the "completed" work on Terri's hand. EVERYONE in Brandy's office is great.....absolutely FABULOUS!!!! They are all very personable, friendly, professional and caring.....we feel very comfortable there. I'm going to update this post when I get everyone's names on our next visit....I'm horrible with names and don't want to forget anyone. The insurance Terri has is very sub-par (Marketplace crap) and isn't one Dr. Cross accepted. We were at a loss when we were in the waiting room about what we were going to do because of this and were on our way out of the office (with Terri in tears) when Tina came running after us and told us Brandy was going to take care of Terri and we'd figure things out later with the insurance.....who ever heard of a Doctor (ANY DOCTOR) even considering something like that?????? Brandy knew how badly Terri was hurt, knew how much she needed help ASAP and made the decision to help her regardless of the insurance. The world needs more caring people, especially Doctors, who actually care, genuinely care, about people, their needs and pains. If you ever find yourself in need of a top notch Hand Surgeon, you really need to contact Dr. Cross....travel a bit further if you need to, but DEFINITELY see her. Brandy, YOU ROCK....thank you!!!!!! Dr. Munshi and her team is beyond caring, honest and warm. Simply the best!…read more I came to North Fulton Pediatrics after having a disgustingly terrible experience with East Cobb Pediatrics (check out my review there if you're so inclined). I was dejected and frankly skeptical of finding a practice for my daughter that I'd be comfortable with given my prior dealings with ECP. Dr. Munshi took her time to go over everything regarding my infant, the charts, any questions we had and what to expect between now and the next visit. Her bedside manner is bar none! It was so refreshing to be treated like a human being instead of an annoying pest. All the nurses we have dealt with are also very caring and take their time. There is no rushing you in and out to get as many patients to be seen as possible. I haven't yet tried using the portal as I had issues with ECP doing so but I asked Dr. Munshi if she ever replied thru it. I appreciated her honest answer: that she rarely did and if it was a real concern I should call in to talk to someone, but that if I did write into the portal, a nurse or someone from the practice would absolutely get back to me. Honesty is everything and I loved that open transparency. Overall I love this practice for my daughter and would recommend anyone to go there even if it's a little further distance away than you'd like (it is for me) just to ensure peace of mind that your child will be taken care of the way you would like them to be taken care of vs. being a virtual dollar sign (*coughEastCobbPediatricscoughcough*)

The practice feels heavily politically biased, which is inappropriate for a pediatric setting…read more Families should not be exposed to political agendas through staff attire or office décor, or various stickers on laptops when seeking healthcare for their children. In addition, there is a strong, one-sided approach to vaccines that leaves little room for parental discussion or TRUE informed consent. Parents should not feel pressured or have their rights minimized when making medical decisions for their children. A pediatrician's office should be neutral, respectful, and focused on collaborative care--not political ideology or coercive medical practices. I would strongly encourage new parents and/or current "clients" to go elsewhere.
