If you're reading this, just retain Jeanne immediately - Ukiah is a small town!…read more If you want more details... my husband and I were involved in a probate case several hours away from our home in SF. We were able to scan anything relevant from our overfull filing cabinet of docs, Jeanne reviewed and selected just what we needed for our case, did additional research at the local courthouse saving us several trips, she worked well with the other probate attorney, filed the paperwork with the courts well in advance of our case, and when we traveled up for the hearing, our portion was settled in our favor in a matter of minutes. We're so appreciative of her careful and thorough work, how little time and effort it cost us, her rates are reasonable, she is incredibly responsive via email and phone, and she's flexible and so pleasant to work with. And gave us a fabulous resto recommendation in Ukiah before our travels home. We can't recommend Jeanne highly enough.

Three years ago I asked Mr. Kubanis if he would represent me in a DUI case. We kept asking the…read morecourt to reduce it to a wet and reckless for which they would not. He said fine we are going to trial. Before me there was only a couple of defendants that were found to be not guilty in all the fifty states. I was extremely defiant with him because we were butting heads and I thought he was to friendly to the courts. Little did I know this man is a fantastic lawyer. At that point I told him that he is the captain of this ship and I the boatsman under his command. The most important thing he said "do not lie". He kept asking me all these questions over and over again in order to get the whole story . I was at the lowest point in my life. At trial he saved his opening statement for a later time and when that time came, boy did it have an impact. He asked questions to the expert witness from the state, questions that had never been asked. He is highly respected by every one I watched him interact with. I would trust my life to this gentleman. At trial he kept asking the courts to use the defense of necessity only to be denied time and time again. The necessity defense has rarely been used because the threshold is a lot. I believe there are 6 things that have to be found true. At the end of the trial the judge granted his request for his defense. The jury deliberated for two days and I was found to be not guilty on both counts. My name is Thomas P. Houston and I highly recommend Albert Kubanis if you ever need a trial lawyer for criminal proceedings.

I decided to hire Al to defend an unusual case; I, a young woman in my 30's, vs an older gentleman in his 60's. The odds were against me, yet Al was able to illustrate the situation in my favor; enough that my charges were greatly diminished. I felt his "old school" approach, combined with his ineffable respect for women, was so compelling, it was clear he was the best attorney for the task at hand. A charming and intelligent man, I am thankful daily for his expertise, experience, and effective talent. Five stars for Al Kubanis!

Kevin McConnell was my attorney in my most recent case. I have a very extensive criminal history,…read moreso of course I was in fear of being railroaded by the court system. While in custody, being represented by Kevin was very comforting. He came to see me and instantly made me feel at ease. In the courtroom he is a beast. Very professional and knowledgable. Fights for you harder than a gladiator at war. He always updated me with details and would go far and beyond the call of duty. I had three prison terms in the past so I thought for sure I was going to get an extensive amount of time. He did a very good job with my case. I ended up with the BEST possible outcome, I was amazed. He has a good relationship and rapport with the District attorney and the judges and makes sense of everything for them. Even more recently he handled the rest of my case due to it being prop 47 eligible, attended the hearing without me being present, handled it like a champ and I was released from the drug program early and was so happy I had to give him a Yelp review. Kevin does not tell you things you want to hear. He does not sugar coat things. He is very honest and gives you very good advice. I will continue to use him as my attorney as I trust his ability to get me the best outcome of any situation I face in the legal system. Thank you Kevin for your hard work.
