He was so confident on getting it done. He even said he knows more than the emergency room but as soon as he started draining the infection, I just felt so much pain and all of a sudden he stops and tells me he can't do it because my infection is going down my throat and he won't be able to do any surgery because of the infection which I understood but before this I went to two other dentist spots and they didn't have a problem with pulling my tooth out. I just didn't have the right money at the moment. And honestly, I think they're just in it for the money they will push you and push you to make sure you pay for every service. They didn't even do my oral extraction, but sent me to the emergency room and mind you he already started draining the infection which even made my infection worse and caused more pain to it. I called them about my refund since nothing was done and they just made rushed to the emergency room and they told me I will not be getting the balance that I paid with my own money back but instead it'll be going to the cherry app they make you use and I don't understand why if I didn't have no service done for me and he kept telling me the whole entire time that I wouldn't have to be paying for the draining or anything because he wanted to help me get rid of the infection, which he couldn't do overall I hate this place. It was kind of weird and socially inappropriate. On one occasion when I came for my appointment, he was taking a little snooze behind the front desk person. I found that very unprofessional. Why not go into a private office for a rest instead of making us feel worried that you are sleeping on the job in between patients? But I ignored all that because the Groupon was a good deal and I thought I was getting good care. A few years later and I have had multiple dentists x ray and tell me how badly done my implant and my crown are. The crown had an overhang that was causing gum recession. The implant is not in straight, not well seated, and smells like decay by the end of almost every day. I have to floss super well every night or it gets worse. The crown recently came off and there is decay underneath so I'm glad that it came off and I'm having a vetted and trusted, albeit more expensive, dentist redo the crown and do it right this time.

I have for several years been complaining to village dental of pain in a crowned tooth of my lower…read moreleft jaw. That tooth had a crown put on it by Dr Rauch in 2015ish. The crown came off in 2022ish while I was in Montana and I had it replaced by a local Montana dentist. At my next scheduled cleaning and every cleaning since I told the village dental staff, Dr Rauch and then Dr Purdue of pain in that tooth. They thought the pain was caused by the crown being incorrectly replaced with to much cement, resulting in it being to tall. They ground the crown down a bit and sent me on my way. Finally I made an appointment in early December 2024 to have the ever increasing pain addressed. Dr. Purdue recommended a crown on the opposing tooth in my upper jaw and said he would make it a little shorter so the 2 teeth would not compress so tightly while eating. In fairness that tooth did need a crown regardless but after it was installed the pain was still getting worse. I insisted on another X-Ray which showed a dark shadow surrounding the affected tooth of my lower jaw at which point they referred me to an Endodontist. The Endodontist said the shadow was a void in my jaw caused by an infection which had eaten away the bone. He referred me to an oral surgeon who removed the infected tooth and the neighboring tooth which did not have enough bone around it to remain viable. I am now waiting for a bone graft to get dense enough for implants. The bottom line for me is my complaints regarding pain were ignored or explained away for roughly 2 years. I believe if the Village dental staff or doctors had referred me to specialists after failing to eliminate my pain, the teeth could have been saved.

Located on the second floor, the front desk had me checked in quickly and ready to go at my appt time. Dr. Nguyen was so sweet and welcoming along with the rest of the staff. I got my X-rays done along with my cleaning. My hygienist was gentle but thorough and pleasant the entire time. I look forward to my continued relationship with this practice and definitely recommend if in need of a new Dentist!
