First off, I have a fear of dentist. Now I don't mean, like the fear some people have of spiders,…read moreand apply that same fear to here. No no no, I mean I legit phobia of dentists. I put off going to one for nearly 15 years. And due to my fear my teeth paid for it. With the help of my wife, I finally decided to take the plunge and make an appointment to a dentist. I decided on Dr. Merski because of the images and review I read off of google. Everything was superb and showed it to be an outstanding family run business. I'm so happy I found them. They have to be some of the nicest and most professional people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From Dr Merski himself down to the receptionists. They will fight tooth and nail to make sure your insurance will cover things, work with your schedule to make appointments. And even get you in very quickly for little things like a crown adjustment. I have had in total 4 cavities, a root canal, and now a crown. It has been probably one of the least painful experiences I have ever had while visiting a dentist. Dr Merski is that good, and I highly recomend him to everyone in need of a good dentist. (apologizes for my bad grammar I wrote this review on my phone after my latest visit)

Dr. Rania, Jen, and staff were very thorough and professional with my dental treatment. A big…read morethanks for the quality of care! I am very impressed with Merski Dental and regret not finding them much sooner.

First, I want to say that his work is top-notch. I've had a cap he did for almost 40 years, and it…read morestill looks great. Other dentists have remarked how beautiful the tooth looks. However, I am disappointed with the attitude of his staff and maybe him. They (in the past) were supercilious making for tense interactions. When I tried to voice some concerns about my dental health, they were patronizing, but to be honest, this was a few decades ago (I've had a different dentist for several years now). However, my relative was starting cancer treatments and asked for a cleaning before they began. They staff/doctor) told her they would not do it because she was going through treatments. She told them that her oncologist highly recommended she get a cleaning before the treatments began. She tried to tell the staff this, but they would not listen to her. They became very argumentative with her. Not even two weeks later, she received a letter stating they were dropping her as a patient, and this occurred in 2021. My relative had been a patient there since the 1980s, by the way. Very frustrating!

Mike is a cheerful liar. He read my xrays backwards when ordering my partial and then changed my…read moreextraction plan behind my back without my consent. Now Im stuck with two teeth that were supposed to be removed and a partial that gives me a total of 8 teeth on one side and 6 on the other. A freshman at a tech school could put more expertise into this, Mike is a loser and should have never been a dentist. A real crook!

I just left from this office having a temporary fix done to a tooth that has been bothering me…read morewhile I wait for an oral surgeon to fit me in and take care of it permanently. I have extreme dental anxiety, some people may consider it a phobia. I just thought I needed to come on and leave this review here because the staff and Dr. Starr are absolutely wonderful. They are very understanding with any nerves or anxiety you may have, and took absolute care of me. I felt very safe and can honestly say even though the procedure was fairly minor I've never once felt this comfortable while have dental work. I highly recommend everyone that needs a new dentist to give this office a go. Absolutely amazing will be returning for all my needs in the future. THANK YOU so much to the staff and Dr. Starr for the excellent experience. I'm confident that my anxiety will be far less than normal whenever I'm in this office. Can't not say it enough, they're the absolute best I've been to.

This practice seems very deceptive at revealing what they are going to charge you. I have included…read moreparts of an email from Dr Starr where I requested pricing for an upcoming visit. I ask repeatedly what the cost will be for routine procedures as well as what they will perform at my general intake and he seems to tell me that maybe I can't afford his practice because I want to know what they will be charging me. Be aware of the their reluctance to reveal expected charges ahead of your visit and and to be treated like a lesser class citizen. Maybe someone else can identify with this- Dr Starr charged me $50 to tell me cosmetic dentistry for my mouth is like purchasing a car, I can by a Ferrari or a Yugo. Profound as this advice was, I could have saved the $50 and total waste of my time going to this pompous office. My email to the office asking about the charges of my upcoming appointment- I would like to temporarily suspend my appointment for next week. What will be performed and the subsequent fee schedule at above referenced appointment? Why was I not informed of a $50 charge prior to yesterday's visit, only after? Would that be refunded if I had cosmetic work performed at the practice? If my family and I switched to this practice, would I have to pay $50 for each individuals family members initial visit? Can you supply a fee schedule for routine dental procedures? We are self pay and would pay cash at each visit. Do you offer cash discount? If so what percentage? Snip below form our beloved Dr Starr- "Hi Michael, As requested, I have cancelled your appointment for next week. You were charged yesterday for a consultation appointment. This fee is not refundable. We would be happy to have you and your family as part of our practice. We would initially need to bring each of you in as new patients with our practice. This would include needing to take a set of records (x-rays, photographs, periodontal charting, etc) and perform comprehensive examinations accordingly. There are charges associated with each of those procedures. We do not offer a cash discount, however we do offer an in-house insurance plan that is very beneficial for those patients without dental insurance. I will be up front in telling you that if you are looking for the cheapest option for dental care for you and your family, we are likely not going to be the best option for you and your family. We have a very high standard of care for our patients. We simply cannot provide that level of care AND be the cheapest office in town. We can certainly answer all your questions. Please give us a call Monday and someone will be happy to discuss these questions with you. Thank you for your email. Dr. Starr Again- I would be aware of this place and if you do choose them follow you billing closely. Remember they work for you and you shouldn't feel like you aren't being filled in on the financial picture.
