Watch out for double billing - I was called Jan 5, 2022 and asked if I wanted to schedule my…read moreMedicare Yearly Wellness visit, I said sure, I wanted make sure I could get my cholesterol med refills without a hitch. Wow, they had an appt open for the next day, okay I went. Well I got the billing from Medicare and Pacific Family, my my my, they not only billed the Medicare wellness (which medicare paid in full) but they also billed an outpatient office call for $322. When I pointed out the mistake and asked for it to be corrected, Janet called me and proceeded to give me the excuses for the additional charge. First, it was I am suppose to see Dr Nairn once every six months and since I missed my 6 month visit Dr Nairn just combined the 2 (I have never had 6 month visits with Dr Nairn). Then when that didn't fly, I was told I had chronic diseases and mentioned heart disease, coronary artery disease, and COPD (which a specialist monitors). Dr Nairn has never told me I had chronic diseases/issues such as these, all heart tests, blood tests, etc seem to always come back with a response from Dr Nairn "you're okay". It's funny I have to hear about having these things from the billing manager. Then when that didn't work, Janet listed off the extensive stuff Dr Nairn addressed that day - extra blood tests ordered, a heart monitor, etc. I looked it up and all that took place in July 2021. Janet standing her ground, that it was a just bill said "So do you want me to close your account." Yes,in my mind I'm thinking, you're not going to threaten me into agreeing with you. It did shock me however, she locked me out of my account so I can't look at any of the billings and/or office visit results (I wonder why? Janet must not have planned on an old lady keeping the summary of the visit note given to me the day of the visit). I had tried logging in to message Dr Nairn about all this and let her know why all of a sudden a devoted 20 year patient was gone. I at some point even asked to talk to Dr Nairn directly about the billing, as she would remember nothing special happened that day, just the same old yearly questions medicare wants answered and when yearly tests were needed, no new treatment, no new complaints, after all they initiated making the appointment, I was well and happy at home :) PS: after going through my records I found this also happened in 2019, I must not have caught this one because I had already fulfilled my deductible for the year. How funny I have never called this office to schedule a Wellness Check, they have always called me. Here I thought they were just being thorough, foolish, foolish me.

The medical and support staff are superb. I've been coming here for 15 years and have been well…read moretaken care of. I am currently seeing Shannon Marsh NP as Dr. Merrill retired, and I'm very happy with her.
