I cannot even imagine the woman that I was a few years ago! I am less reactive, more confident, and more self-assured in who I am. My relationship relationships have been better, my perspective on life and my ability to handle challenges has improved. Stephanie not only helped me overcome some of these experiences in the moment, but proactively helped me build the tools to handle them as they come up in the future. I have been with Stephanie through incredible times of anxiety, difficult, familial, relationships, and the loss of a parent. She has such range as a therapist to be able to handle pretty much any circumstance. I have never worked with somebody so incredibly impactful. She is one of a kind in what she does and how she does it. I feel forever grateful to have worked with her.

At least she was talking to me about my issues and not her own, but sheesh lady give me a break. It was not therapy it was a LECTURE. I swear I was only able to speak for the first 5 or 10 minutes of each 50 minute session. And then it took a lot of effort to get a word in edge-wise with this blabber mouthed shrink, and I'm pretty extraverted. I could only stand about 6 sessions (approx) before I decided to call it quits since she had diahreah-of-the-mouth - not a quality one looks for in a therapist. Killin' me.

At the same time, Jessica is thoughtful and compassionate - she understands how emotional responses drive many of our actions. I could not provide a higher recommendation for Jessica. Today I live with her, her husband, and my grandchildren in an amazingly harmonious home (all 5 of us, including the teens, concur on the harmony). And yesterday that same daughter graduated from a nurse practitioner program! Dean was also marriage counselor to my husband and me as my husband descended into paralysis, and helped us get through it without killing ourselves or each other. He is talented at reaching into impossible situations and giving a "turning word" that points to a viable solution. He successfully reaches into difficult minds and offers alternatives. Best of all, when there is a therapist/client problem, he readily and without defense acknowledges his part, and talks it through to resolution. As a therapist myself, I learned from him and observed him practice the highest ethical standards, bringing empathy, clarity, and intelligence to every interaction. I recommend him without reservation to anyone. (P.S. He's especially good with teens.)

In total desperation for my marriage I made an appointment with Lori at Crockett Counseling Center…read more This was one of the approved councilors with my current medical provider that I could have gone to. Lets be honest, marriage counseling, for me anyway, was the last resort. If I could describe what was going on in my home it would be this. I had my foot on the gas pedal pressing as hard as it would go and then it hit a point where I was pushing as hard as I could and over a two and a half year period I started taking my foot off the gas and the car (marriage) just stopped. How can you keep pushing as hard as you can and go nowhere? I really liked Lori as a therapist. She is extremely fair. She does not choose sides at all. She will analyze both sides and give you the truest honest opinion you can hear. Yes, she even gave me the hard stuff that I wasn't able to admit out loud to myself. Its messed up and hard to be honest with yourself and she will give it to you straight. My marriage was done by the time we came to see Lori. I honestly wish I had found her three years ago. So I will say don't wait, done hesitate on marriage concealing if you are fully invested in your relationship. Mine was too late and there was no change and the other person in this partnership was not ready to do the work that maybe we could have done years before. If you're reading this and in a state of desperation with your marriage call Lori, make the appointment. Do not wait until you're done. Do it as soon as those desperate feelings start. She will not steer you wrong. She will keep your foot on that gas pedal and keep you going.
