I really wanted to love this school. It's small (2-6 year olds) and located in a converted home right off the freeway. It's totally adorable, yet sadly unprofessional.
THE GOOD:
-Hours of operation are great, and the program is year round.
-Affordable, but based on your income. I was not charged the going rate.
-At least in the beginning, my daughter loved this school and looked forward to going...even on weekends. Lol
-They celebrate birthdays and had a party every week for a different child during her first month.
-Technology didn't have a strong presence, which I liked. I think kids need real life interaction at school, not FaceTime.
THE BAD:
-I was told they would "waive registration" and later found in their handbook that they don't even charge registration fees!
-They only accept cash for tuition! If you can't trust us parents to write a good check or purchase a money order, why should I trust you to care for and teach my child?
-Lunch is not provided, but breakfast and a snack are.
-I don't believe the "schedule" was ever actually followed. I would come to pick up my daughter at different times and she was always doing the same thing. She learned more Spanish from Disney en Español.
-The staff are unprofessional and appear to lack sufficient educational backgrounds. Their English was lacking, even if this is a bilingual school. My daughter brought home class work with words spelled incorrectly!
-The director's granddaughter attends this school and she blatantly shows favoritism.
-The director was almost always sitting at her desk when I picked up my daughter, no matter what time it was. Many times she was on her cell phone (which may double as the business line?) and had few words for us English-only parents. I've toured other schools and their directors were always observing/supervising and never in an office or behind a desk.
Long story short, I was forced (by the director) to pull my child out of this program. If you'd like to know why, message me and I am happy to discuss. read more
