If I could give negative stars, I would. Stellar Hitch is, without a doubt, the worst experience with a business I've ever had.  The husband-wife team claim to be exclusive matchmakers and charge $5000 per client.  They present a seemingly legitimate front with a convincing website, www.stellarhitch.com., and at the initial meeting, C******a pitches the service in a sweet and subtle way knowing that the client with her is willing to be vulnerable, open and trusting with something very important. But that's where all the feigned "goodness" ends.  I realized pretty quickly that Stellar Hitch is a scam.  Their claims of having a deep and varied data base of quality matches is totally false. Their claim of carefully vetting and interviewing everyone who takes part in Stellar Hitch's service is totally false.  Their claim of providing substantive consulting is totally false.  And finally, their claim of having an approach that's "personal, intimate, elegant and safe" is totally false.   My unfortunate experience began in August. From the start, C******a promised that she had so many viable candidates to match me up with.  In fact, in our second meeting she showed me a post-it note with several names of potential dates on the front and back.  With a huge cheshire grin, she said "I wanted to show you this because I know it will make you happy."  Little did I know that list would fall very short of anything promised.   It didn't take long for me to realize Stellar Hitch was nothing but a scam.  The two dates I was set up with did not match up to anything I had told them I was looking for.  In fact, the first date was such a rude, inconsiderate and arrogant man that it left me stunned.  At that point I questioned two things about the service...was C*****a listening to me at all during our meetings and if so, was this horrible date a result of either her inability to apply that information properly OR was it because she just didn't have any viable candidates in her shallow pool and he was the best she could come up with?  The other question...was her judgement defective?  After the bad date, she referred to this very rude guy at least twice as a "great guy".  Left me really wondering.   Second date proved Stellar Hitch can't deliver because they don't have a true data base of people.  This guy admitted to me that he had been "scouted" at an event over 2 years ago and asked to be part of the Stellar Hitch pool so he wasn't a paying client.  He said he met C*****a only once and the last time he had heard from her was over 7 months ago.  He added that the two dates she set him up on were "disasters" (his words). Her knowledge of him and his background was very inaccurate so it was clear after meeting him that she didn't know him well at all. What made matters worse with Stellar Hitch is that when I began to bring up these questionable issues regarding their practices, C*****a defended every aspect, never taking any responsibility.  In fact, she tried to turn everything on me, the client, in an attempt at making me feel that I was to blame, which is quite laughable because it goes completely against their approach, which is allegedly one of "understanding and care."   This is my conclusion...this husband-wife team is a disgrace.  They should really be ashamed of themselves that they're making these false promises to individuals who are putting their trust in them. I've found other complaints that are VERY similar on other business websites so it's shocking to me that Stellar Hitch continues to conduct business in this manner.  In fact, they've responded to some of those complaints in the same manner I spoke of in the previous paragraph...defending their actions and placing full blame on the client.   I have asked for a refund, as other unhappy clients have, with the same result.  If this review saves at least one person from wasting their hard earned money, then that will give me some solace. Wow....I feel so blessed to have met Cristina at Stellar Hitch! Sometimes people think these types of services don't work...but for me it did! I was introduced to an amazing man (semi-retired doctor) and we have so much in common. He has already bought us tickets (first class!) to fly to NYC to meet his children. When it's right it's right and you know it! And...I know for certain that I would never have met him without the exclusive introduction of Cristina at Stellar Hitch. To me, it doesn't matter what it costs to meet an amazing man because...it is so rare (especially when you're over 50) it's truly a priceless experience! Went to them a while back, one of the more forgettable experiences in my life. Cristina was most times reasonable, the husband no connection with. They are looking to mold you to what they think you should be, not looking to find the best person you think you can be. Used examples of what other clients weren't doing write to illustrate their point how you needed to change the way you were. In one case, same person shortcomings was brought up twice, then they tried to set me up with that person a few weeks later. (Made me wonder what was said about me!) One match I had was reasonable, the other 2 it looked like they were just trying to check a box and move on. After the last match, I was reminded how much it would cost for additional matches. LA can be a tough town to find a true match. Stellar Hitch was a great option for me as I don't have time for bars or speed dating. I was looking for a genuine connection versus trolling around online and I found that with Cristina's partnership. She gave me insight, coaching, support and most importantly... Options! I found her to be a great listener and an honest coach. I owned coming to the table with an open mind, and it was the third man I met that really surprised me. She knew what I needed more than I knew. She has an ability to understand the layers and recommend others who compliment you. The man I'm now dating is a great balance to what I bring to the table. Over the past two years, I have been lucky to have been chosen by three matchmaking services as an eligible man for introduction to their clients. One of the services is a large and expensive firm with offices in major cities around the world. Another is a well established Los Angeles-based firm. And the third is Stellar Hitch. Of these firms, my experience with Stellar Hitch has been by far the best. For example, before I could be introduced to Stellar Hitch clients, I was interviewed in-person, and at length, first by Cristina and then by Andrea. By contrast, the large international firm interviewed me just once, and it was a cursory interview at that. The other firm conducted no in-person interview at all. Over the course of two years Cristina and Andrea have kept in regular contact with me, staying apprised of my status, and using the opportunities to get to know me better. Over this time they introduced me to two of their clients. Although, in neither case did a relationship result from the introduction, it was clear that Cristina and Andrea had done their homework and put together a very thoughtful match. For anyone looking for a really conscientious matchmaker, I would give Stellar Hitch my highest recommendation. I had a good experience with Stellar Hitch. Cristina (the Matchmaker) took the time to get to know me and was sincerely interested in learning who would be a good fit for me. I was introduced to two sweet & smart women and went on dates with both. Although neither worked out long term I do not think it fair to fault Stellar for this as another reviewer does. After all this isn't mathematics but rather an intuitive and human undertaking. If dating truly were a science we'd all be happily married. I think what is important to identify is whether Cristina tries her best to listen and set up two people who otherwise would never meet and give us the best chance to succeed. And in that regard I feel Cristina excelled. She really cares and truly wanted to find me and the woman a match. After reading the rambling accusatory piece from the woman who had a bad experience with Stellar Hitch, I thought I would add my own two cents by offering a differing perspective, and to share my experiences here. Clearly the other person had an unfortunate experience, but I will say that mine was diametrically the opposite. And I am proud to post it here. I will say that if I had had such a problem with the owners of Stellar Hitch I would have managed it person to person, versus posting such an ugly and accusatory diatribe on a site like this. In my opinion the note reflects a cowardly and unfortunate way to solve problems that is so rife today. I feel is it shameful, but onto my thoughts. I chartered Stellar Hitch several years ago and my experience was great. I had a personal interview, a home visit, and lots of chat before we got started. I am certain that C******* with whom I dealt really put her heart and soul into the efforts directed at me. Sure I have met a few women along the way that made me wonder why this woman was picked for me, but as we got to know one another and as I provided feedback, it got better and better. I met a couple of incredible women along the way, and some of them are still my friends. It takes so much to choose a good date, (or a potential mate) for another person, and it is an imperfect and flowing process. But as a client I felt supported and cared for by the owners. It takes time to get it right so as a client we must learn to be patient and tolerant. What also came out of my interactions with Hitch is the need to do some personal growth, which I faced directly. That has held me in good stead. I was recently introduced to a woman who is a once-in-a-lifetime-match and it has set me going wild with gratitude and expectations. I am "besotted". And grateful. As far as any dishonesty to scamming that is purely a cowardly and shameful accusation that has no foundation and has no business being placed on this site. For the past two years, I have been giving the week of Thanksgiving even more thanks because that's when I first met my wife -- thanks to Stellar Hitch! ;) Living in NYC, but spending lots of time in LA for work, I first met Cristina and Andrea at a boutique hotel in Santa Monica. I immediately took to their genuine professionalism and way of working. It was like talking to two old friends and they were honest and knowledgeable. I was tired of swiping for tinderellas or finding online matches that on paper were promising, but upon meeting them in person, realized their "social" presence didn't match their "real-life" presence. Today is the one year anniversary of my meeting Derek though an introduction from Stellar Hitch. He is the love of my life, the man of my dreams as corny as that might seem and I know that Cristina and Andrea share in our joy as they are truly caring people and love what they do. Let me preface my experience with Cristina/Stellar Hitch by saying that I had heard nightmares about online dating and matchmaking. I was very skeptical of the process but at a friend's suggestion I did some online research for boutique matchmaking services in Los Angeles.
