My sister took me to the mall and was buying me timberland boots for my bday at Journeys. The assistant manager Rene was nice, helped us out, brought me boots to try on. He had like five boxes in his hand as we all wanted shoes. I was wearing sandals as I had just gotten a pedicure 5 minutes before. He told me this was his last pair in that size (first lie) . I asked for socks, he gave me some. I tried them on , loved then but as I looked inside, they were stained. He apologized and brought me another pair. He said I promise these aren't stained and they haven't been tried on. (2nd lie) Perfect! Left home a happy customer. I get home and to my surprise, he gave me the stained ones! $125 for stained boots? Are you kidding me?!. I was supposed to leave back to Austin at 9am but since the mall opens at 12 on Sundays I had to delay my trip. I went to the mall where I was treated like a piece of trash! It turns out Rene and Joe are total disrespectful scumbags. I kindly asked to exchange the boots and Rene started accusing me of me being the one staining the boots? Is this a joke? I stained them with a pedicure and socks that YOU lent me? Rediculous! He started yelling at me and saying I have dirty sandals in front of all the customers. Joe was agreeing with him and he wasn't even there yesterday! My sister got involved and raised her voice as Rene was yelling at me. She has heart issues. Rene kept yelling at her and upsetting her even more! Where is the customer service? Where is the customer is right? I had to ask her to calm down and told Rene to be quiet and if he wasn't going to help me to give me corporate info. He refused and kept yelling. Joe, instead of calming or controlling his co worker, he called security on us. This is how customers are treated? We spent over $300 in that store the day before. Another bystander was appalled as to how we were treated and told us that he saw Joe and Rene holding hands and he thought they were dating. Wich explains why Joe did nothing to have Rene stop yelling at us. They refused to exchange my boots, I am running late on my trip schedule, I got yelled at and wrongly accused of staining the boots that they lent me socks for. If sandals are an issue, why let me try on shoes? Why lend me socks? Why not address the issue yesterday instead of scamming me? Needless to say, I hate Journeys, will never shop there again as I got scammed to buying the "try on" boots that smell and are stained. Avoid this store everyone!!!! Scam artists
