We were greeted by one of the waiters who is pictured in this review. There were plenty of open tables, it was past normal lunch time and we asked if we could be seated at a four top, despite being two of us, as there were so many available and we like to sit beside each other. He sharply told us NO. While it didn't make sense, we accepted that. Two parties of two were seated very shortly after, one at the table we asked about initially and the other right next to us on the other side. They were close enough to hear it said that they, too, did not have reservations. Basically the waiter refused us the table we preferred, or any of the four tops open. It might sound petty, and it kind of was, but he was a jerk and then became our waiter! It was a slap in our faces for no reason. We were vacationing and just wanted a nice view for lunch. It shouldn't have been an issue (no language barrier as we spoke to him in German), but it made it one. So the food was good, the host/waiter who we had was a putz. Maybe you'll have better luck and I wish you that. For us, we wouldn't return.

A lovely biergarten on the banks of the Amarsee. It is a typical Bavarian biergarten with loads of…read moretables and a view of the lake. The food is great and again typical Bavarian food you get at biergarten and not very expensive. The beer is also good and they have a few beers here including a stark bier. There are great play areas for kids and also a mini golf about a 100m from the biergarten. There is also a camp ground very close by. I will definitely return next time I am in the area.
