They overcharged me more than $200 when they continued charging me an already outrageous monthly fee after I cancelled the membership. I called the General Manager to cancel when I left the country and joined LA Fitness in Naples, Florida. I called the GM to cancel the Goodlife Fitness membership I had just put on hold a week or so before. The General Manager subsequently moved to Florida and must not have cancelled it. They continued charging me after I had left the country. Despite providing evidence of the new membership at LA Fitness which started just after I put the Goodlife member ship on hold, they will not do a thing to reimburse me all the extra charges they levied. They won't even contact their old General Manager who knows I cancelled it. This is incompetence and/or fraud.

While most gym's will try to attract customers with new equipment and cheaper rates we have thrived by focusing on the quality of your workout. All classes are run by full-time experienced coaches. We don't use machines. We use barbells/dumbbells/kettlebells/medballs and your own body weight to provide resistance. Our focus is to teach you how to move well first, become confident in your movement and once that has been achieved increase intensity. We have helped hundreds of people break out of the typical gym setting and find out that "working out" can be so much more!

I had one of the worst experiences ever with Body Pro Gym…read more They force you into a minimum one-year contract, which I fully respected. I paid everything on time without missing a single payment. In January 2025, I was traveling out of the country, so I went to the gym in person to cancel my membership. I followed their process, signed all required documents, and even received a confirmation paper. At that point, I assumed everything was properly cancelled. After returning to Canada 2 months later, I found out that my membership was never cancelled and they kept charging me. I called multiple times, and every single time I was told: "Manager is only available till 5 PM. You need to come to the gym." I work a 9-5 job, so it was practically impossible. Despite calling 10+ times throughout 2025, nothing was resolved. Meanwhile, they continued taking about $60/month from my account, for a service I had already cancelled. Finally, in December 2025, I had no choice but to call my bank and stop the pre-authorized payments. Now, instead of fixing their mistake, they sent my account to collections. When I received a call today, the representative didn't even try to understand the situation. She immediately gave me three options: Pay the full amount Pay 50% and cancel Get reported to the credit bureau When I tried to explain that I had already cancelled properly, her response was: "I don't want to hear your story. I hear this every day." Absolutely unprofessional, unethical, and frustrating experience. If you're considering joining -- be very careful. Even if you follow all their rules and properly cancel, you may still end up getting charged and dealing with collections.

The gym is clean and well kept, although the front door setup allows a lot of grit to be tracked onto the gym floor-so maybe not so good for doing floor exercises in certain spots. They have a lot of equipment and various cardio and resistance machines. Jacob's ladder and the vertical rope machine are two unique but challenging machines not commonly found in a gym. Momentum does a lot with the community and has 'people perks' that provide members with discounts at associated businesses. We got in with the 'opening' membership price which is locked in for life, so that is definitely a bonus! Darren was originally the coach only here, but Steph joined as well once the membership numbers came up. Both are exceptional, with a genuine concern for goal setting, proper form and focus on weaknesses or injuries. They do offer package deals a few times a year that let you work one on one with the coach during half hour or full hour sessions. That is definitely a bonus if you have specific goals. Other locations do offer a selection of group classes, but those are an extra cost on top of monthly membership. There are also 'clubs' that members can join for more social interaction with other members. Also, they do organize social events to bring members from all locations together outside the gym environment. Overall very happy with Momentum, its coaches and the involvement they have with the community.

This gym STINKS, half the machines are broken, the circuit machines are often missing seats or have peeling upholstery, barely anyone wipes down their machines after use, sometimes their paper towel machines are out and I can't find disinfectant spray or the nozzles don't work, and weight stack pins are a scarce resource where you have to scrounge around to find one for the machine you need, etc. The energy in there is oppressive. On top of this, when I tried to cancel my membership after 3 years, they were intentionally vague and withheld information about costs associated with freezing and cancelling my account. They also did not notify me about the 30 days heads up required even though I inquired in JULY about cancelling/freezing before my renewal in September. I was eventually told the cancellation parameters were in my contract from 2022, but I do not personally have a copy of this contract to reference, especially considering my account has been messed up for 3 years after being merged with another member in a different city (a whole other story). It would have been helpful if one of the staff I spoke to mentioned any of this relevant information. When I mentioned this miscommunication mishap by their staff and asked if they can cancel my account, they told me it was my problem and I would still be charged my yearly fee in September when I was under the impression I had until October and did not require a heads up. This is why I asked 5-6 staff for information months ahead of time so I could effectively cancel! Every single staff member was feeding me different or conflicting or incomplete information. An all around unpleasant experience and I regret ever joining this gym. Will be joining elsewhere. Good riddance.
