After we moved to our new home recently, I really wanted a real traditional sauna and after an extensive research I zeroed in on two local companies and New Life Sauna were the most knowledgeable on the subject so I decided to give them a try although they were a bit over my budget however once you see their work, you'll understand why. Materials, equipment, craftsmanship - all top notch stuff! The sauna looks and works fantastic. Extremely pleased with the result. Will be contacting them to get a wood burning one built at the cottage this summer.

I understand that these things happen. But instead of apologizing and replacing the unit the staff and owner of this company gave us the runaround on the return until we finally had to take it up with our credit card company. We have had to pay for another day with the electrician and a new heater and we still have the unit sitting in our living room. To make matters worse they are downright nasty. My experience is that Saunafin was not willing to take any responsibility for defective parts, and there are many parts to a sauna kit. I would personally steer you to a company that stands by their product as there are many others out there to choose from and the point of having a sauna is to relieve stress not cause it!

With $35 only entrance fee, friendly service. I also enjoyed community hot bath, cold plunge, steam room, warm area to hangout with heated floor and hot sauna with different temp. In the men's section, full nudity is required to use the hot tubs. I found this a bit unusual, as most spas and steam rooms typically allow swimwear. Personally, it made me uncomfortable--especially since two men watched me as I showered and made eye contact and smiled (not in a friendly way, to be clear!) when I entered the hot tub. This detracted from the relaxing atmosphere I was hoping for. The food options are limited and reminiscent of college dorm fare. That said, the prices are reasonable. I ordered dumplings with instant ramen, if I recall correctly. The dumplings had been pre-cooked and were reheated in a microwave when served. The sauna rooms themselves were decent, with some featuring gem-like materials on the walls, such as jade. The cold room was quite effective--colder than the one at Go Place--and featured exposed ice, which some guests chose to lay on, as shown by visible body imprints. Overall, I'd say this place is a good value if you're a seasoned sauna-goer who knows what to expect and prefers something more affordable than a high-end spa, or more effective than the saunas found in typical recreation centres.
