After multiple attempts to reach them, they finally responded, suggesting another appointment and copay for a solution they should have provided months ago. They claim to have left me a voicemail and after reviewing the voicemail, i called back the same day and spoke to them - which is where they commited to calling me back about option B and never did. Their disregard for patient time and apparent financial focus over healthcare is concerning.

I finally decided to see the doctor after playing a round of golf and my foot acting up again. The office is in the basement level of 70 Hudson. They have elevator access. The office itself is okay. A bit dated. A bit dingy. I had a foot xray done and I would have sworn the x-ray machine was from the 1960's. Sure, it worked fine, but call me a snob, it seems like when I go to a doctor's office in New York city, its vibrant and new - whereas doctors offices in Hoboken feel like they are just old and run-down. The staff working there was pleasant. The doctor I met with wasn't Dr. Paternina, but Dr. Vo. She was helpful, she showed me my x-rays and explained her diagnosis - the doctor felt it could be a stress fracture and put me into a soft cast and walking boot for a week. My insurance covered the costs and I had a co-pay. I'm hoping that there won't be any surprise costs as this was recommended by my insurance as an in-network provider.

One morning I thought I had gotten a splitter in my foot and ended up walking around (limping) on it for a few weeks. I remember, I had been to Dr. Christopher Chow's office previous and had good services. Got an appointment pretty fast and he looked at my foot (could still see a really small entry point) and he took something out but we both agreed an x-ray would be good to make sure nothing was in there. Went to main street radiology the next day and it was confirmed that I had a portion of a needle in my foot. Since it was really in there, we had to have surgery. Things went really fast, I had to go to my regular doctor for post surgery tests, then back to Dr. Chow in the China Town Office for post surgery consolation. Drove in midday so trying to find parking was a nightmare and ended up having to use a garage. Surgery took place like a week after discovering the needle... so their was no delay and everything moved really fast. No complications with the surgery and went back to Dr. Chow's office the following week for a followup... everything looked good, so it was another two weeks then got the stitches out. Office staff and Dr. Chow were great during this whole adventure. I'm good with not doing that all again... no more stepping on needles by accident. :D
