The family gave Laura the hospital medical information and she immediately shared that the blood being pumped from my friend's heart to the rest of her body (ejection faction) was at 20% and expressed how serious this was. Normal is between 50-60%. The suggestions that Laura gave to the family made a huge difference in her recovery, i.e. drinking much more water, movement (even when you cannot get out of bed), etc. She also checked in every day and made herself available at any time. It was touch and go for several weeks. I'm happy to say that my dear friend is out of the woods and doing very, very well. Thank you Laura. Well that expired I think in 24 hours. So I called back again. Never got a new email. For real, how many mental health patients are going to sign up to make an appt. through a portal? My medication lapsed due to lack of appointments so I finally went to Urgent Care for a 1 time only/1 month prescription and have been halving my meds to make it to a new provider. And the new nurse practitioner is unprofessional. When I said how I was feeling, she said, "Oh no! That's scary!" Way to put me at ease. She made me feel like I was really screwed up.
