We were driving from Thunder Bay to Saulte Ste Marie and just happened by and saw the open sign. There were great tables outside, but the weather wasn't cooperating, so we sat inside. We had a great Reuben sandwich and a perfect BLT. Our waitress was very nice, food was served promptly and all Covid protocols were all being followed. We stopped in for lunch on our trip to Thunder Bay. We just happened upon it on our way to A&W and we were VERY glad we did. Our server was great, very friendly and accomodating. We sat outside on patio and were served promptly and she checked back regularly. We were only there for lunch so my wife and I ordered and shared a Cobb salad and sweet potato fries. The fries were awesome, good and crispy and came to the table piping hot. The salad looked small when it arrived but was deceiving when we dug in, it just kept going and going. The fresh grilled chicken was hot and tasted great, and the steak left us wishing we had ordered another one to share! The salad was fresh and tasted good with loads of tomato and other veg. We watched other food as it came out to other tables and everything looked amazing. The chicken wings smelled incredible as they wafted by on their way to another table. While we were waiting for our food the owner/cook came out to pick fresh herbs out of the patio gardens for one of the meals she was preparing. We hadn't paid attention to the planters but they were all full of fresh "ingredients" that our server said she cooks with while the season permits. Great spot and we will most likely detour there on our way home from Thunder Bay to have another meal. If you're in Marathon and in need of a place to eat definitely stop by to check out the menu.
