As the name suggest, Premier specialises in the usually chippy selection of fish, chips and pies, as well as Chinese meals, burgers and kebabs. I don't really like chippies that do kebabs and burgers as well though; I'm firmly of the opinion that chippies should do fish and chips and takeaways should do kebabs and pizzas. Fingers in too many pies, an' all that. The shop itself is fairly big and the staff there are pleasant enough, it's just not the best place in Maghull for fish and chips in my opinion.

The shop itself is quite small in size, meaning when it gets a bit busy (which is does on a regular basis, such is its popularity) it gets rather cramped for room, but you're never waiting in here long so it's not too much of an issue. I don't usually try many of the Chinese dishes, never mind the Thai, but whenever I've had the fish and chips there I've found them to be nicely cooked and tasty. The batter on the fish is crispy without taking over the taste and the chips there are light and fluffy, perfect after a few too many in the pub next door.

As well as the usual fish and chips, they have a wide range of Chinese meals, pizza's, kebabs and burgers to take away therefore you are often spoilt for choice especially since they have meal deals too. Home deliveries are also welcome for local areas with an additional £1 charge. They are open 7 days from 4.30pm till late so it is a great place to find some food after a hard day or long night out. The service is excellent and staff are efficient. Food is always hot and still warm when you arrive home. There is not much I can fault. The Famous Blue Star serves some of the best fast food in Liverpool.
