As its name suggest, Station Fish and Chips is just around the corner from Maghull train station, making it a perfect stop off shortly before or after a train journey (make sure you don't spend too much time at the station itself, though). The food in Station Fish and Chips is nothing inventive or original; as the name suggests, they offer your favourite chippy treats, but all of it is made to a very high standard. The chips in particular there are beautifully fluffy and crunchy, just the right mix. The fish there is also of a particularly nice as it is deliciously thick and full of flavour. Station Fish and Chips is just one of many chippies in the area, but I would definitely recommend it as one of the best around.

The shop itself is quite small in size, meaning when it gets a bit busy (which is does on a regular basis, such is its popularity) it gets rather cramped for room, but you're never waiting in here long so it's not too much of an issue. I don't usually try many of the Chinese dishes, never mind the Thai, but whenever I've had the fish and chips there I've found them to be nicely cooked and tasty. The batter on the fish is crispy without taking over the taste and the chips there are light and fluffy, perfect after a few too many in the pub next door.

Home deliveries are also welcome for local areas with an additional £1 charge. They are open 7 days from 4.30pm till late so it is a great place to find some food after a hard day or long night out. The service is excellent and staff are efficient. Food is always hot and still warm when you arrive home. There is not much I can fault. The Famous Blue Star serves some of the best fast food in Liverpool.
