He also reviewed my mother's long term care policy and reviewed the contracts with the possible care advisors to give us the best advice. Max is extremely busy with the amount of time he commits to teaching at UCI so I understand he is not always availble. However, he charges extremely reasonable fees whereas he could charge much more. When I contacted attorneys in Taiwan to handle my father's properties, they were extremely expensive retainer fees. I have nothing but excellent things to say about Max. If you look at other groups that have a double boarded attorney/CPA, their fees are much higher.

From Eugene to Jae, Alize, Angie, and the receptionist Ester, I constantly felt like I was being passed from person to person without anyone having a clear understanding of what was going on with my case. The communication was inconsistent from beginning to end. I would receive one explanation from one person, only to later be told something completely different by someone else. I repeatedly had to call back for updates and clarification instead of feeling like my case was being properly communicated to me. The receptionist, Ester, was particularly frustrating to deal with. Messages were frequently not relayed correctly, and I would end up having to call back and explain everything all over again. Being told to "call back" when the message I left wasn't properly communicated in the first place became extremely frustrating. What should have been a stressful situation made even more stressful because I never felt confident that everyone involved was on the same page. Clients should not have to chase their attorneys and staff for basic updates or repeatedly explain the same situation to different people.
