Duke has carved out in 1 mile trail at the back of the property. It was a nice leisurely walk after such a long drive. The rooms are absolutely spotless and the beds are very homey, comfortable and clean. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Gail asked what type of breakfast we wanted in the morning and asked what time we would like it prepared. This place is PERFECT!! If I find myself within 100 miles of this place ever again I will make the effort to stay here I would highly recommend it!!

My husband wanted to surprise me with a "Gilmore Girls" type wonderful inn experience and it was such a treat! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was absolutely charming. I loved the comfortable living area and cozy fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful and had amazing water pressure in the shower. I loved the way the rooms were decorated with cute old fashioned decorations that were Oklahoma themed (we had a birdhouse themed room one night.) One thing I really loved was how wonderful they were about accommodating my medical issues. I have gluten sensitivity and also severe migraines, which make me very sensitive to light. They were so nice about unplugging some lights out on the porch that were bright so that I could sit by the windows without getting a headache. As for the food, sometimes when you're traveling and have to find gluten free food on the road, it can be a bit of a challenge, but oh, the food here was DIVINE! Breakfast one morning was a gluten free omelet with all the fixings, plus a big varied selection of fruit, plus GF cinnamon toast, plus there were these great smoothies. So good! Another day, it was these delicious gluten free blue corn pancakes that I practically inhaled, plus really yummy home fried potatoes with pork, plus a selection of fruit and the wonderful fruit smoothies again. There were even gluten free cookies available upon arrival! We'll definitely be staying there again the next time we drive through Oklahoma City!

(Bring bug spray and check for ticks) The natural landscaping was intoxicating with honeysuckle as far as you could see with cute little eccentric touches throughout the property. We planned our days with swimming, fishing, napping, and dinner, too. Jamil's Steak House was wonderful and recommended by our hosts. We ate off site a couple of times, but we enjoyed brunch with our host, Heather, the most in the common area. The fishing was eventful with about 12 snags of different kinds, blue gill, perch, big mouth bass, and crappie. The husband smiled ear-to-ear on the dock, pulling one out right after another. The Cottage came fully equipped, and the bed was super soft! We came to relax and that is just the prescription we received! Oh yeah! The ground pets, Larry, his brother Darrell and his other brother Darrell were a great comical team!

The owner also brought along one of his grandsons so my son had some company too as they fed the animals etc... a very nice gesture there ... While we were there for the first time my son paddled a boat, caught a fish, roasted marshmallows, threw a lasso, used a bow and arrow, slingshot, BB rifle, Henry rifle, 6 shooter, and Atlatl. Pretty much ticked all the boxes for my 13 year old boy for sure, not too mention fun for me too. Highly recommended.

She serves genuine Kona coffee for breakfast, and dinner is usually a delicious meal from Subway, Little Caesar's or the Chinese place around the corner. Families always welcome! Wear shoes and beware of doggie land mines while picking berries in the backyard. FIVE STARS and a double Shaka!
