There is a new customs building and international flights expected to be added but overall, there are tons of investments coming to the airport that will be great for the city of tulsa.

What a nice clean airport…read more After so many delays at the airport recently, it was so pleasant to be able to experience a seamless weekend at the Oklahoma City Will Rogers International Airport. The airport security line was less than a 5 minute wait. The shuttle from the airport to the car rental agency was so easy. Love the art at the airport, too. So many flowers and a cowboy sculpture. Of course. A pleasant surprise to have an easy day of travel. Thank you!!

It's a medium sized airport, so there aren't a bunch of trains and causeways to deal with. At the same time, it's large enough to have plenty of nice amenities, restaurants, and shopping near the gate. There's also some nice OKC-esque art and sculpture peppered around the inside and outside of the terminal. My only issue was that it was hard to find where to go for rental cars. Signage could definitely be improved. They were doing some remodeling during my last visit, so maybe this is on the agenda!

There is only coffee and some vending machines past security so either eat at DFW airport or before you go in. The gate agents keep you informed on flights. It doesn't ice very often in SWO but they have one deice truck. However if the runway gets covered in ice then it can't be de-iced and if the truck breaks they have to bring in support from Arkansas. Embraer 145s are the types of planes you go out on so no first class and only 50 passengers. If your flight cancels you won't be able to fit on the next one. However they are good at rebooking right at the airport.

The airport was quiet and well organized. It was nice seeing the behind the scenes of what happens in the cockpit and see everything happen up close.
