My whole visit took maybe an hour. What really made this place stand out was the waiting room. It was decorated like a 1950s diner, resplendent with a self-serve coffee bar, filtered water fountain for hot and cold water and plenty of refreshments. The room was air-conditioned with a cute little table in the middle and plenty of seating despite the small space. It's perfect if you're planning to stay and wait. It was early in the day, so I took a walk around since it's in the heart of Old Town, near all sorts of wonderful little businesses. As such, they gave me a call upon service completion.

It's given the opportunity and the manager doesn't care. So here's what happened. My car had been worked on the week before, so apparently that disconnected the battery which resets something in the car, which in the end doesn't allow the smog machine to actually test whether or not you pass or fail. I didn't know this until they told me and charged me $50. So I asked them did my car fail smog and they said no they just couldn't test it. So why did they charge me $50? Because they could and they wanted to. Every other place I called said they wouldn't have charged for that. Because they actually didn't run the test. They were bad about it - to be blunt. So I found another guy who I really like, who is honest, and who won't charge you or me $50 to tell you he can't test your car. That's the kind of decency I'm looking for. So I'm going to One Man Smog from now on. This is an expensive lesson to learn that All Star Smog is a bad business.
