I took off of work. My husband took off of work and didn't get paid so he could drive me to get an MRI. The doctor never sent me an actual order on paper so I didn't have it and the staff at my doctor's office were not answering the phones to fax the script. But they did have the order in the system with my insurance company and an authorization. Stat Imaging would not do the test (not even the MRI without contrast part of it) and were much less than interested or concerned. In fact they were so dismissive, it was ridiculous. The woman at the desk just sat and stared. I understand they needed the order. I also understand the order was in the system with the insurance company and the doctor's office would have faxed another order when the receptionist returned. These people don't give a CRAP about your time. In fact, they really don't give a CRAP about you at all. Just make sure you have your insurance card with you so you can collect the $$$. This is the absolute worst operation I have ever seen. And the older receptionist needs to go find a job working at McDonalds. read more

We stopped in last Monday after a nearby doctor's appointment, since we try to squeeze in as many stops as we can when we have to make the drive to any particular area. It must have been about 3:15 when we arrived without an appointment (I didn't know I was supposed to make one, figuring it was a drop-in type of thing like labs.) Still, they were accommodating, didn't make me feel bad about just showing up, and were able to take me in and get a couple of x-rays done in a very short time, much faster than most other medical facilities I've ever been in, even with an appointment. At this point, I haven't dealt with any billing issues; they took my insurance card, which hubby has used there with no problems, so I'm not expecting anything, there. Be sure to check out the "reviews not currently recommended", as well. At the moment, there are two 2017 five-star reviews that are in that section, I believe, because they are the reviewers' firsts. If I'm told that I need to get more outpatient x-rays, I will certainly be back here! read more

Was told both my MRIs would cost $325.00 only to receive a bill for another $162.50. They claim it's because I haven't yet my deductible, but they can find that information out prior to quoting a price. A shame an establishment doesn't honor what they tell patients. I'll go back to SJ Radiology. read more

GO ELSEWHERE! The imaging doctors and tech's are ok. Their billing department is absolutely horrible. They sent me a bill a year and half after my procedure, telling me my insurance wouldn't pay it because I didn't have coverage at the time. When I called Cheryl in their billing department, to tell her that was not correct, her only answer was not her problem. I had to pay or she was submitting to collections. If I was making this review based on the radiologists it would be 5 stars. They are warm, kind, attentive, and professional. However, the front desk is a nightmare, and I'm not really a person to write scathing yelp reviews, but this visit truly warranted it , especially with everything I've read from previous reviewers about their customer service. This is my second appointment at STAT West Deptford. My first appointment was easy and no long wait, however I was not greeted at the front desk and they called me about 20 times in a 5 day period while I was at work to schedule the appointment in the first place. For some people it may be nice to be reminded and contacted to schedule, however I prefer to make my appointments and not be harassed about making an appointment when this is not the only place I can go . Second time I'm here, they called repeatedly even after the appointment was scheduled. Im asked to arrive 15 minutes early for "paperwork" despite already having filled out extensive paperwork a few weeks ago during my first visit. I walk in, the lady stares at me so I greet her and give her my last name. She asks for my id, and hands me a clip board with 3 pieces of paperwork that I've already filled out , and says nothing else. Cool, maybe she's busy, maybe it's a new policy to complete this portion every year or something . I don't say anything. I return the paperwork 10 minutes before I'm scheduled and she slides my ID ONTO THE COUNTER, not my hand, and continues gossiping with a coworker about how annoying it is that a patient rescheduled their appointment in Marlton instead of this location. At this point a lady who is dressed down as I am says had an appointment 30 mins before me , and that this is ridiculous, as it's now 40 minutes later. She's missing her next doctors appointment and can not reschedule as the last spot he has on fridays is in 30 minutes. I think nothing of it; perhaps she didnt arrive on time to fill out paperwork or they're a bit busy. However this is when I realize how awful they are. A woman walks in w a designer purse and wearing nice clothes, styled hair, and make up. She looks nice. Nothing against this woman. At this point I've been waiting 30+ minutes and witnessed a woman miss a crucial drs appointment in with no explanation or apology to either of us. They promptly tell her there is about an hour wait bc they are behind , and give her the option to reschedule. I'm furious and want to confront them on why we weren't treated w the same respect or dignity, but I need to get this done today as this is the last day my insurance will cover it without being resubmitted. This is infuriating , will never come back here . Perhaps if I had my designer bag and make up and hair done instead of presentable gym clothes I would have been treated better as well. Was at Stat back in 2014 for MRI and then went to SJ Radiology for other tests. This past week I went back to SJRA for MRI and could not do the Lumbar MRI due to the tightness of the closed tube. I then looked at Stat at the suggestion of my doctor at the vist prior and they do have an OPEN MRI tube that is shorter in length and open on both ends. What I truly like was that for my Lumbar MRI I did not have to go into the tube completely and that my head my just outside the tube so that I could see the ceiling in the room as I went in FEET first and not head first as they did at SJRA. SJRA also said that their MRI was an open MRI machine, that was a complete lie! Here they offer a mirror to see behind you should you need to go into the tube completely so that you dont feel isolated. The headphone they use with music, of your choice, help to drown out the noise of the machine which is quieter than the one at SJRA. The tech I had was also very caring as I was in discomfort from the pain I was having in my back and made sure I was good going in the tube and coming out. Love this place and will for sure be coming back to them for all my MRI's and scans needed, if ever needed. Thank you STAT for making my visit a pleasurable one and for easing my anxiety without having to take Valium in order to do a test at SJRA. read more

Awful customer service. I called 3 times regarding an EOB from my insurance company for XRays- each time Brenda the billing manager said we are in network, we participate. I'll resubmit the bill. Scheduled an MRI- and reviewed my insurance claim that stated I owed facility $1100. I called Billing spoke to Brenda, spoke w my insurance company. Who resubmitted a payment for 3/4 of the bill. Brenda has since changed her tune. Stating we tell you at the front desk before the study. Well I was never informed, or would have gone to South Jersey Radiology. I was told to "TAKE Responsibility, pay your bill or she'll just send it off to collection"- many other nasty loud remarks. I had my primary do a prior authorization- Gave the pre cert # to them when scheduling- no mention - of "out of network"was never informed that they DO NOT participate. Why would they? They want you to come, have expensive tests, then bully you into paying the bill w threats of collection. They billed my old BCBS first- and then finally billed correct insurance. 7-8 phone calls later- insurance and banking commision will be my next call! I now see why STAT imaging in Marlton no longer has association with them. read more

6/23/17 My client experience at Stat Imaging At Riverwinds vs.being a previous client of SJR for many years. Staff-At both facilities were professional, pleasant, and knowledgably helpful. Cost-Both facilities are in my network; after insurance company paid their portion of charges for the same 3 MRI's.My out-of-pocket balance owed to Stat was $1200; SJR-$2400 was my remaining balance. Billing Dept.-Brenda at Stat was welcoming, pleasant, fair, understanding, and accommodating for me to make payment arrangements for my remaining balance. SJR-while making payments to my remaining balance, even if I was late, I continued to make my payments.Despite my effort,SJR sent my account to their collection attorney, civil suit filed. Note Above: For Many Years,I was an insured client so my payment history showed I've always paid back my balances in full. SJR was also paid $$$$ by my insurance company. The above mentioned is why I ventured out to find a place that values their clients, and realize that their clients are the reason that they are in business in the first place .I prefer not to be a client of facilities that service clients who have certain health insurance which a facility can bill at such a higher rate comparison, causing clients to have a higher remaining balance left to pay,for the same tests offered at client-focused facilities like of Stat Imaging At Riverwinds. I am glad to be part of the Stat "Family". A simple solution for anyone having insurance cost/coverage discrepancies- can ask their insurance company to do a Conference call between the insurance company, you, and the facility's billing department to avoid any misunderstandings, And, remember... most calls are recorded for "Training" purposes.. which is actually recorded proof of what was conversed. read more
