It's a little weird writing a review for a church, but I'll try and give it a shot…read more My wife and I started attending Crossway a few months ago after running into the head pastor, Brad Vos, at Multnomah University near the beginning of the fall '11 semester. Right away, the Vos family, as well as others, welcomed us into the church body, getting us both plugged into ministries that the church has. The sermons are thoughtfully and prayerfully written, and show Brad's heart for Christ while being engaging and thought-provoking without requiring attendees to have a degree in order to follow along. The music is very "Portland" in nature, giving an indie-folk feel to classic hymns, as well as more contemporary music, including artists such as Ghost Ship, Hillsong, and Paul Baloche. We haven't had a church that we've felt this at-home with since we got married, and don't look forward to having to leave when we're done at school in the Pacific Northwest.

Go to church and they had trouble getting the congregation choir down even during prayer to start the service and honestly it felt like a check your box church. The church I'm used to going to is Nikao Church based out of Charlotte NC. I encourage you to look them up on YouTube and look them up and just get a feel for the reverence of God there. I've never been to a church while I felt more like an outcast than welcomed in. I've nodded and made sole attempts to speak to people and I think maybe two people out of 200 to 300 people even gave me a nod back. It was more stared than anything. Not sure if it was because I'm a black guy in a predominantly white church... not sure really what it was but either way , was super blessed to still be in the presence of the Lord. With that being said, it's most likely a no if I ever return to this church .. but if you're reading this and need a church to go to.. I say give it a shot. Where two or more gathering the name of God he is there so remember church isn't about feeling welcome ( even though you should be).

Beautiful catholic church located in BG. They have Sunday mass at 8:30am and 11:00am. The church is…read morea good size for the town but can get packed at times. Usually everyone is able to find a seat. The interior is beautiful with wood seating and good lighting on the altar. Mass usually last about 1-1.5 hours depending on announcements and guest speakers. There is also a spacious dining hall and kitchen. They serve donuts and coffee after each Mass. On every third Sunday the serve breakfast after the first Mass. Breakfast usually consist of pancakes, eggs, sausages, and juices and drinks. There are also other big events put on during holiday times where they will have mass and food served. They also have special events such as the crab feast and valentines dinner. Sacred Heart is a very good church where you can learn and also be involved in the community.

The people were very welcoming. The preaching was spot on. You can sense the presence of God there.read more

Friendly people. I am hard to please but this place keeps holding my interest! God is present in the worship services.
