To start off, it is owned by an amazing family who takes the time to get to know their customers personally and make each person's experience the best. From funny preview commercials made by the family members to midnight premiers with special guests and fun events--this family has truly found a way to make movie-going enjoyable for all. The Orpheum itself is old and quaint, but I love that they made the space cozy and enjoyable with couches, booths, and two big screens. What baffles me still today is that a movie ticket is only $6 and this includes a soda and popcorn. That. Is. A. Steal. They bring in family friendly flicks and do special features every now and then as well. If you're traveling close to Litchfield or Hillsboro and desire to see a new movie, I highly suggest coming to the Orpheum for your experience!

It is great how someone from the staff gives an opening statement before the show, and at the end, they often stand by the front door and hand out mints. How cool is that! The owners are also community minded and offer shows for the school children as a field trip. That is great! This is such a unique building, and has been tastefully updated. I certainly encourage you to support this business every chance you have! We want to keep them around for years to come!

It's for sure due for a lobby and concession area "glow up" The newer theatres with Dolby sound and recliner seats are clean and the seats are comfy. My only complaint about the seats is the recliner works oddly. It's sort of all or nothing which I'd prefer to have my legs up and not lie down. I'd skip pretzels, mine were cold and lacked any flavor. For the more outdated theatre the prices are high, almost $20 for a movie here which is more than the prices at the brand new theatre in St. Louis so In my opinion, it's too high. If you are into a no frills movie experience then this is the spot! Good popcorn and comfy seats!
