I went both out of curiosity and to see if there's anything that could be done about the uncertainties I felt about myself. Like with another reviewer, she also ghosted me. I missed one appointment but then got dropped even though I had been showing consistently before that. It has been awhile since I have gone to see her so I don't remember how many sessions I had, but it wasn't that many. If I were to estimate, it would be around 4-6 sessions total. During the sessions, all she did was listened to me talk. No plan for improving, no insight on what her plan was to help me, nothing. What was my treatment plan? I couldn't tell you. Frankly, the remarks she would make sometimes made me feel worse about myself. I once told her about how a coworker had flipped out on me over something small and she goes "wow, that place is full of mental health issues." She also made a remark once when she thought that I was going to go to school for LCSW as if she thought that was a bad idea. When I corrected her and said that wasn't the case, she said "Oh okay. That's good." As you can imagine for someone in my position at the time, I felt terrible about myself at the time because it made me wonder if my concerns/challenges were more severe than I had believed them to be. Frankly, I don't think she was a very helpful counselor. I don't know what it was about her but I also did not feel comfortable addressing my LGBTQ (I'm a gay man) issues with her as well. I've since reconciled with those issues (no thanks to her). Her profile online that I had found suggested she could handle all these different types of issues (LGBTQ, men's issues, etc.) but that did not seem apparent at all from my sessions with her. Maybe it was just a poor counselor to client match but overall, my experience was not a positive experience.

This morning, a young lady finally answered and when I told her I'd have been on the phone for 22 minutes she was shocked because she said her phone only rang once. I don't know what's going on over there but this is been going on for quite some time. I hate calling Apex.

The seminar was well organized, the facility was clean and I felt welcome and supported. The food was amazing and they had several choices of vegan and gluten free as well. The seminar was pack with phenomenal information and breathing sessions not to mention it was fun and family oriented. I got clarity and tools that I can apply to my daily lifestyle. I always entertain the idea of having a morning meditation routine but I never commit to it. Through Breath Work, tools and meditation I tapped into the rewarding feeling of clarity and contentment. Now that I got a taste of the REWARD I can commit to my self. Without resistance I can now take action steps to establish a healthy morning routine because the reward it's worth it. She quickly got to know and identified his needs- I had never seen my son calm down and focus like he did on our second session. Equally as important, she gives excellent education for us as his family. She explains the process and helps develop tools so we can help him at home. Now we understand his sensory needs, and we have a sensory diet to follow. We have tools to actually help him when he's disregulated, where we used to feel powerless.
