When in a foreign country, being American and all, why in the blazes would you seek a Starbucks?
Well, simply put - I saw it on the way and we couldn't get service for the life of us. It was also freezing! Figured some coffee and free Wi-Fi wouldn't hurt.
Would up at this location about an hour before closing time. It was pretty popular, so much so that they ran out of their white chocolate mocha. It may have been for the best though. I tried their version of that later on during my trip and it was ridiculously sweet.
At any rate, ordered a cappuccino and a hot chocolate. They were fine, albeit different from what one gets in the states. Felt less sugary yet sweeter. A bit hard to explain and you have to try it yourself. Nevertheless, for what we wanted - drinks hit the spot, and well, the free Wi-Fi got us to download some maps to head around the city. read more
