Considering this is a mall Starbucks, this doesn't feel like your typical mall location of the chain which I often find to be very generic, crowded, squashed and boring, this is different. Located on the upper level 3 of Les 4 Temps, this is likely to be one of the first stores you visit if heading from public transportation.
As I've talked about in other reviews for Starbucks in France, it is considerably more expensive than back home in the UK, my drink ended up costing around 30% more, before even taking into account the UK's lower rate of tax/VAT in place until January to help businesses recover from COVID-19.
This is a Starbucks Reserve bar not to be confused with a Roastery, of which there is only one in Europe - in Milan, Italy.
The service at the checkout was slow, but from that point, the drinks were made super fast. They did make me a regular Iced Caramel Macchiato rather than the Cloud which I asked for, again this wasn't down to the language barrier as they did charge me for the more expensive Cloud macchiato, it was just a mistake. They had no point making it rather quickly.
My drink tasted really good, sometimes the foam on the non-US version can be messy and not absorb the coffee, it can sometimes taste dry and bland but that wasn't the case here, I really did enjoy my drink. I did have to ask for the special lid which has recently launched outside of the US though as the straws here are awful, this is one of the first stores in France to get the new paper straws which are super small and thin, which are probably even worse than the ones we have in the UK.
The store from within the mall looks good, it stands out, they also have an outside patio area which is perfect for the sun and has great views of the Arc and La Defense area which is just outside the city of Paris, yet easily accessed.
4* - Nice drinks in nice surroundings, a really nice Starbucks store even though it is pretty expensive and doesn't represent value for money and there were other small issues discussed. read more
