We ordered an egg/bacon/cheese breakfast sandwich, a bottled juice, soy chai latte and 3 vegan doughnuts (because they were delivered by their bakery partner when we arrived!) Lots of plant-based breakfasty items available like wraps and pastries. We shared the maple walnut, chocolate dip Oreo, and apple fritter doughnuts on site/later. All excellent, with no greasy after-effect. Super friendly staff, quiet atmosphere, and loads of seating. Every hand-crafted beverage we spotted had that pretty foam design, so you probably can't go wrong with one of those. You can take Happy Goat Coffee grounds or beans to go. We'll definitely be back!

For this trip, it was this Starbucks that was a three-minute drive from my hotel. Here's a first. I woke up staring at my go-to cafe from my room. It kept calling me for an icy cold tea every day. It was hot and humid for much of my stay. I dropped by a total of ten times. You'd think that staff would crack and do something horrible, which would end up in my review, right? Nope. Ten visits. Ten consistent levels of service with excellent drinks. I ordered food one time and it was a stellar experience. All visits consisted of hitting the drive-thru. It's located in a plaza, across from Best Buy, with a Canadian Tire nearby. Except for my first visit, I ordered drinks and food through the Starbucks app. This cafe never ran out of any drink or food item that I wanted. Staff were always friendly and nice. They never messed up my order. It was insane! Here's where staff shine. I find that whenever I place an order through the app, get to the drive-thru to indicate that I have a mobile app, and get to the window, staff think that I need to pay for my order. In other words, they lose me in the order sequence and are only keeping track of regular, non-app orders. My local Starbucks does it often. A barista will say, "That'll be $9.14." I'll say, "No, it won't be. I'm not paying again. I have a mobile app order." This cafe, when you indicate that you are here to pick up a mobile app, will acknowledge you. The staffer will proceed to print out a sticker indicating that you have arrived and stick it on your drink or whatever you have ordered. When you approach the window, staff won't and can't mess up your order because your items are in the correct sequence with orders from other folks. One word: brilliant! I don't care if you are killing an extra tree to add a second sticker on orders. You are providing a high level of customer service and order accuracy that I love. Starbucks locations in the greater Toronto area could learn a ton from this store alone. They need more staff like the folks that you find at this cafe. My drinks tasted great and hit the spot. They were cold and refreshing. I redeemed my birthday drink at this location. I got a grande chocolate cream cold brew with sugar-free vanilla syrup. It was heavenly! I loved it so much that it went down the hatch in five minutes. I still dream about how creamy it was with the perfect amount of chocolate flavour. On my final full day in Ottawa, I saw potato, cheddar, and chives bakes on the menu. I had to get them a try. They were delicious. I loved how savoury the cheese worked with the chives. The potato cubes provided a nice contrast. So good! I am going through withdrawal symptoms. I miss the great service that staff dished out here. The closest level of customer service that I get these days at a Starbucks in the GTA is the one by my workplace. My local Starbucks by my home sucks and I haven't been there for a couple of weeks now. I'm afraid to go back to mediocrity. For all the low ratings here, I feel that the stated beefs are incredibly minor compared to what I have experienced at various Starbucks over the years. You get none of that nonsense at this and I'm so thankful! The lineup at the drive-thru does get busier on weekends. The lineup moves fast, though. Staff apologize for the wait. The second time was after grabbing food at Arby's and wanting an additional iced tea beverage to take back to the hotel. The Starbucks is next to a Canadian Tire convenience store with a gas station. The cafe has a drive-thru. Both times, I went through the drive-thru. I got a black iced tea and a cute strawberry cake pop during both visits. When it's hot outside, I like an iced drink. Each time, it was refreshing and consistent. I got into strawberry cake pops recently. It's the perfect little cake treat when you don't want anything heavy, but you want to satisfy your sweet bakery tooth. I like the smiley face, except when I accidentally squished one of them in my purse and it looked like I had driven a bulldozer over it. Staff here are so friendly that it's almost unreal to me! It was nice. Of note, this gas station and Starbucks also has a fruit stand for Shouldice Farms. I ended up getting a box of strawberries and made the best smoothies every morning in my hotel room. Also, this is where the new Target will open up sometime soon. Since it was evening, we had a mild coffee each, served in porcelain cups instead of paper. They know how to make coffee drinks and are very happy to make them. I normally have just a coffee and they have a very nice mild coffee that I quite enjoy. It is a great pick-me-up (lots of caffeine because it hasn't been burned off in the roasting process). I have been seen in the vicinity of their caramel correto on occasion - delicious! It is very accessible - I am in a wheelchair and never have a problem, nor have any of my other disabled buddies. They have the usual WiFi service available at most Second Cups. My friends always have china mugs (I have a mug I bring with me and they take 0.20c off). The food choices are reasonable. The double blueberry muffin is delicious. They have very comfortable stuffed chairs as well as chairs with padded seats with small wooden tables. Target is close by and it has a Starbucks but I am no fan of Starbucks - the coffee is too bitter. The mall has a number of tables with checkers boards on them surrounded by typical chairs with wooden seats. There are also a few stuffed chairs and a skylight with a large gas fireplace. Quite nice in winter. The chimney has a clock on it. There is also a TV showing a variety of sports and frequently has poker games. A very comfortable area.
