I don't usually review chains, but I often enjoy Starbucks while in an airport or road trip. I wanted to highlight this location for the particularly engaging and positive barista (sorry, didn't catch his name). The music was also vibing, and the interior was very clean. Nice job Mt Vernon SBX! read more

Cutest little Starbucks! It doesn't have a drive-thru, but there's both a front and back entry which makes it super convenient. Located right on the corner, it's in a great area to walk around and explore. The service is always friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating to relax or get some work done. Definitely one of my favorite Starbucks spots! read more

Quick. Kind. Efficient. This Starbucks was fast! I was in a long line of cars and genuinely had my drink within less than 5 mins. Alex served me and he was very polite and cheerful! read more

Grateful for this Starbucks in a coffee desert. Newer building and they had some logistics issues in the parking lot so the drive thru is a challenge. Recommend using mobile order and pick up inside. Easy access from the highway. Prompt service, clean interior, consistent quality product. read more

Excellent customer service, cozy confines within a medium-sized building design, yet their drive thru situation is quite interesting. This store's drive thru traffic almost runs into the Hardee's drive thru traffic, which can lead to a tense situation with Hardee's customers if you aren't paying attention. If parking your car and walking inside, I'd recommend positioning the vehicle further down the parking lot area to prevent getting blocked in when the store's drive thru traffic backs up. read more

They are so fast, I never have to wait for my drink. The store is always very clean. The baristas are the nicest people and always make you feel welcome. read more

What a sweet girl/ barista ! She offered to fix my drink with a smile. I wish I could remember her name last night. We planned to press on with our trip and I ordered ahead. My double espresso with coconut milk was cold and I ran in to get it , sipped it and went right back in. She was so pleasant, fast, sweet and it was late in the day. Service like hers is exceptional. (This was Friday night, May 27,2022. Much different than my experience down the road in Kentucky! read more

Stopped here for afternoon coffee. Ordered flat white. 3 in front of me at the drive thru. Wait time was typical. Coffee is great. Out of all pumpkin baked goods...pooh! read more

Stopped here on our way through town on a long road trip to fuel up on a little caffeine in the morning hours. The two women overseeing the drive through ordering and window (lady with reddish brown hair and lady with blonde hair and glasses, Kay?) were some of the funniest people we have ever run across at a Starbucks. They were humorous and playful over the intercom and at the window and made for the best start to our morning on the whole trip! Thank you funny mystery ladies for not only making perfect drinks, but also for going above and beyond to give us a great start to our 700 mile drive! You rule, but we still aren't hungry... are you? read more

Starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mount Vernon, Illinois

Very friendly and efficient staff! Alex was quick and kind taking my order and my food and drink were ready very quickly as a line was forming around the drive thru. The bathrooms were also clean as well as the tables and booths inside read more

Drinks are perfect and the service was fast and friendly using drive thru. However, I must point out we were here at 5:30 am.

Trash. My brother and I just both ordered Carmel Ribbon crunch. And the drink we both got was some mixed trash. They must've ran out of the mix or something they just made whatever and served it up. Trash. The issue is they didn't say anything at all. read more

This is the weirdest Starbucks I have ever witnessed. Closed Saturday and Sunday, closed at 2 pm weekdays, bathroom is closed, boxes of supplies piled up inside the store.... what is even going on here?!? We were traveling cross country to see a family member with terminal cancer, and chose to stop at Starbucks whenever possible (clean bathrooms, healthy food options, plenty of caffeine.) We tried to stop here on a Sunday (closed) and a Thursday (open for 10 more minutes/closing at 2 pm, restroom closed).... just a big let down from a brand we usually rely on. read more

A horrible Starbucks. Waited in the store for well over 20 minutes while the 3 teenagers behind the counter goofed around and chatted about video games. Huge line of cars waiting for the drive thru. There were at least 6 staff members present but nobody was doing any work. I was so frustrated that I just left without my drink. read more

I frequent this particular Starbucks often since the inception. The staff is a constant state of turnover. The coffee is burnt tasting with high acid. They are often out of products. The hours are very inconsistent. read more

I'm sad to say this was the worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. We were just driving through from camping and needed a quick drink. I stood at the front counter for 3 minutes or so and multiple workers looked at me but didn't say anything. Finally, one girl asked what I wanted to order. But while she was taking my order, she didn't acknowledge what I said until later giving me my total. Pretty awkward. It seemed as if the store manager was sitting in the dining area, because she kept walking behind the counter to do different things. She was speaking on her phone with the speaker on and it just seemed really unprofessional. The barista made my husbands drink about 5 minutes later and then I waited for my tall plain black coffee for about 2 more minutes. I went to the counter and she saw me and said "what size drink did you have?" I told her a tall and she poured it up really quick and we were on our way. I didn't give this spot 1 star because it was clean and seemed like it would be a great place to stop another time if there was better service! read more

Best coffee, hot and fresh tasting food, great customer service! They don't waste your time!! They work hard and get you back on the road! The lines can be intimidating but don't let it fool you, they are quick getting your order and having it ready. read more

This is one of the best locations in southern Illinois by far. The staff is super friendly (even when going to the drive thru) and is very helpful. The interior is pleasant and just big enough for the number of customers. The coffee is flavorful and I have never had a problem with my orders to date. My only issue with this location is the parking lot entrance feeds into the Hardee's drive thru exit, so use caution when visiting either business. I usually limit my starbucks reviews to four stars due to the price, but I'll make an exception for this one. The service has just been that good. read more

Thank you Tricia for an amaaaaaaaaazing I ed macchiato and the name of that song! Great stop on our way across the country! Grazie mille once more. read more

I've been to the First Starbucks in Seattle. I've been to the best Starbucks in the World. Hawaii, San Diego, Los Angeles,Chicago, etc. I had the worst Starbucks experience at Mt. Vernon, Il. This was the first time in my life I was ignored as a paying, well tipping customer. I can vouch for Summer M. when she says "I stood at the front counter for 3 minutes or so and multiple workers looked at me but didn't say anything. Finally, one girl asked ..." The same thing happened to me on more than one occasion. Employees standing around trying to ACT busy instead of taking customers orders is unacceptable. I waited a few minutes and walked out the door without ordering. read more

Always nice to have a Starbucks in a rural area as a rest stop when cris-crossing Illinois. Just opened the other day, so it has that new Store smell. Found it a little unusual that I had to wait for my hot brewed coffee at the Barista counter. (Hence the 4 Stars) Every other store, the cashier pours it, hands it to you at the register and you're on your way. read more

Chelsey was rude, got a call from the hospital while I was waiting for her to get my things gathered obviously I answered the phone when I seen how important the call was while she was rolling her eyes waiting for me to take my straws from her. The service is fine but the drinks taste really burnt and acidic... no coffee flavor at all, just charcoal. Even my Mocha was undrinkable while my girlfriends Americano was repulsive. Amazingly long lines for disgusting tasting coffee... try the Panera Bread across the street instead. read more

Thanks for the chai and next time I will try the cinnamon on top of my chai! I am glad we stop by this Starbucks. read more

Starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mount Vernon, Illinois

My boyfriend and I just went through the drive-thru at this location and we both agreed that was probably the BEST customer service we have ever had. Jen aka Jennifer was so sweet and funny! We are from Texas and have been driving for 12+ hours so it was a very welcome break to meet such a wonderful person! She made our day! read more

Newer, nice and neat place. They got their drink proportions right. Convinient parking and clean restrooms.

Staff is always polite, I've had great experiences, however today I could not drink my macchiato, six dollars down the drain. The soy milk was curdled in the bottom, the cup was overfilled which was the least of my worries, but it was over filled with a drink that made my stomach turn. I love this new store, know it's just starting off, but if it was me personally making that drink, I would have never served it. I'm rating this location 3 stars because I think the staff is very friendly and they try, maybe someone was just having an off day. Better to lose a bad drink than to lose the trust of a customer. read more

Great to see a Starbucks on I-64 in Illinois finally! Good coffee, friendly service, very busy on a Sunday afternoon.

nice to actually have a drive thru. didn't wait long and my favorite was made perfectly. Apple Pay at the window would be nice too.

Worst Mocha Light Frappuccino I've ever had from a Starbucks nationwide. Light means less. This one was twice (if not three times) as heavy in mocha and sugar than I've ever gotten. Couldn't drink it. Waste of money. Won't return on our trips in the future. read more
