Cutest little Starbucks! It doesn't have a drive-thru, but there's both a front and back entry which makes it super convenient. Located right on the corner, it's in a great area to walk around and explore. The service is always friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating to relax or get some work done. Definitely one of my favorite Starbucks spots! read more

Grateful for this Starbucks in a coffee desert. Newer building and they had some logistics issues in the parking lot so the drive thru is a challenge. Recommend using mobile order and pick up inside. Excellent customer service, cozy confines within a medium-sized building design, yet their drive thru situation is quite interesting. This store's drive thru traffic almost runs into the Hardee's drive thru traffic, which can lead to a tense situation with Hardee's customers if you aren't paying attention. If parking your car and walking inside, I'd recommend positioning the vehicle further down the parking lot area to prevent getting blocked in when the store's drive thru traffic backs up. read more

What a sweet girl/ barista ! She offered to fix my drink with a smile. I wish I could remember her name last night. We planned to press on with our trip and I ordered ahead. My double espresso with coconut milk was cold and I ran in to get it , sipped it and went right back in. She was so pleasant, fast, sweet and it was late in the day. Service like hers is exceptional. Stopped here on our way through town on a long road trip to fuel up on a little caffeine in the morning hours. The two women overseeing the drive through ordering and window (lady with reddish brown hair and lady with blonde hair and glasses, Kay?) were some of the funniest people we have ever run across at a Starbucks. They were humorous and playful over the intercom and at the window and made for the best start to our morning on the whole trip! This is the weirdest Starbucks I have ever witnessed. Closed Saturday and Sunday, closed at 2 pm weekdays, bathroom is closed, boxes of supplies piled up inside the store.... what is even going on here?!? We were traveling cross country to see a family member with terminal cancer, and chose to stop at Starbucks whenever possible (clean bathrooms, healthy food options, plenty of caffeine.) We tried to stop here on a Sunday (closed) and a Thursday (open for 10 more minutes/closing at 2 pm, restroom closed).... just a big let down from a brand we usually rely on. read more

A horrible Starbucks. Waited in the store for well over 20 minutes while the 3 teenagers behind the counter goofed around and chatted about video games. Huge line of cars waiting for the drive thru. I'm sad to say this was the worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. We were just driving through from camping and needed a quick drink. I stood at the front counter for 3 minutes or so and multiple workers looked at me but didn't say anything. Finally, one girl asked what I wanted to order. But while she was taking my order, she didn't acknowledge what I said until later giving me my total. Pretty awkward. It seemed as if the store manager was sitting in the dining area, because she kept walking behind the counter to do different things. She was speaking on her phone with the speaker on and it just seemed really unprofessional. The barista made my husbands drink about 5 minutes later and then I waited for my tall plain black coffee for about 2 more minutes. I went to the counter and she saw me and said "what size drink did you have?" I told her a tall and she poured it up really quick and we were on our way. I didn't give this spot 1 star because it was clean and seemed like it would be a great place to stop another time if there was better service! read more

This is one of the best locations in southern Illinois by far. The staff is super friendly (even when going to the drive thru) and is very helpful. The interior is pleasant and just big enough for the number of customers. The coffee is flavorful and I have never had a problem with my orders to date. My only issue with this location is the parking lot entrance feeds into the Hardee's drive thru exit, so use caution when visiting either business. I usually limit my starbucks reviews to four stars due to the price, but I'll make an exception for this one. The service has just been that good. read more

I've been to the First Starbucks in Seattle. I've been to the best Starbucks in the World. Hawaii, San Diego, Los Angeles,Chicago,etc. I had the worst Starbucks experience at Mt. Vernon, Il. This was the first time in my life I was ignored as a paying, well tipping customer. I can vouch for Summer M. when she says "I stood at the front counter for 3 minutes or so and multiple workers looked at me but didn't say anything. Finally, one girl asked ..." The same thing happened to me on more than one occasion. Employees standing around trying to ACT busy instead of taking customers orders is unacceptable. Always nice to have a Starbucks in a rural area as a rest stop when cris-crossing Illinois. Just opened the other day, so it has that new Store smell. Found it a little unusual that I had to wait for my hot brewed coffee at the Barista counter. Staff is always polite, I've had great experiences, however today I could not drink my macchiato, six dollars down the drain. The soy milk was curdled in the bottom, the cup was overfilled which was the least of my worries,but it was over filled with a drink that made my stomach turn. I love this new store, know it's just starting off, but if it was me personally making that drink, I would have never served it. I'm rating this location 3 stars because I think the staff is very friendly and they try, maybe someone was just having an off day.
