One time when I came by there was a table that was reserved by the Starbucks staff as an activity table for seniors. That day it was for adult colouring which was a nice community touch. I had a great caramel macchiato here, that I ordered as part of one of the offers in my app. I also ordered a banana loaf to go. I had asked for it warmed up but it wasn't when I received it. It's still pretty tasty but I recommend getting it heated up if you can!

Anyway, I counted about seven people behind the counter and was surprised and disappointed at how long it took to make my drink. It wasn't rush hour to work, so I know I wasn't competing with a crowd and I was the only customer inside who ordered... While waiting for my order to be made, I observed two baristas chasing a bee that made its way into the store. This went on for about five minutes and then these same ones began to make my drink. They were out of whipped cream and needed to make some. Truthfully, it was incredibly annoying to be asked if I wanted whipped cream with the undertone that them having to make it would be an inconvenience to them. Though they were apologetic, my wait could have been cut in half had the two baristas didn't spend time chasing a bee.

It is one reasons why customers voice also super loud too. Especially around 4pm there are lot of teens. They don't order drinks or 1 person order and other 4-5 don't. But they allow them stay. Thankfully, even though I live close by, it's not convenient to visit this location so I save a ton…read moreof money. However, let me explain why! I will also briefly point out what they do well. Let's start with the good: friendly staff, well organized location and they've never gotten my order wrong. They generally have everything a Toronto Starbucks offers and lots of space to sit/stand/wait. Now, the downsides to this location: avoid before/after school and lunch time. Heavily visited by the students from the 2 major high schools in the area. Also, you can only access the parking lot while driving north on Avenue. Turning left off of Lawrence? Not fun and then you have to cross two lanes of traffic. Turning right off Lawrence? Easier but not particularly convenient. Traveling south? Just find a different location. Then the parking lot is not user friendly! Limited spots, can't turn around easily and there are massive cement blocks in the way. There is some additional parking at Shoppers but they don't like people parking if you aren't shopping there. Final thoughts: typical Starbucks but very low in the convenience category.

I got a strawberry açai lemonade refresher, which is from the cold drinks menu! It's a good choice for when you don't want any coffee or tea. I love how it doesn't taste artificial and the sliced frozen berries still fresh tasting! Thank you for the lovely service via drive thru during the pandemic!
