The setting reminded me of an earthy, stylish laid-back Peet's coffee - lots of wood and leather furniture, subdued lighting and tunes. I paired my hot chocolate with a tarta de higo con queso - a type of tart with figs and cream cheese base. It went perfectly and only 46 pesos, about US$2.50. Free wifi and I could see myself camping out here with my laptop if I was a local.

They have a wide selection of pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate! Their hot chocolate is sooo good!! Service is great and they also sell merchandise and coffee beans. I just love the ambience and atmosphere of this place. The restroom is pretty nice and clean also. It is tucked away on a street right around the center of Coyoacan. I love this area very much, it is beautiful! If I stay in Coyoacan this would be the place I will frequent. I found a different Starbucks mug from Mexico City and it was good enough! It has the Angel de la Independencia on it. It is not even a block away from the Angel, so it makes sense to sell this particular Souvenir mug there. Tip: The Starbucks Stores in Mexico do not use the American Starbucks App, so we don't earn reward stars. My friends ordered drinks and there were no complaints! This is a great place to hang out! We charged our phones, used the restroom, and relaxed in the much needed A/C. If I ever make it back to Mexico City, I would definitely return to this Starbucks!

I ordered an iced matcha latte and fruit sando. They were out of both of their fruit sando so they offered an egg sando instead. The matcha latte was on the pricey side, $140 pesos (~$8 USD). It came out in a small glass cup. The color look promising at first but after tasting it, it was quite bland and too milky. I couldn't really taste the matcha. The Vietnamese coffee reminded me of the Viet egg coffee instead. A little different from what I'm use to. Egg sando was good and I like that it had a bit of a kick to it. Very filling overall. We also tried the katsu sando and that was also good. The katsu was fried perfectly and the meat was very juicy.
