We get to Starbucks after dealing with Boston traffic and the highway and in need of a cup of coffee and these millennials (or whatever you call twentysomethings nowadays tell my 81 year old father that they can't make him a BLACK COFFEE because (and get this..) "the machine is broken." No, I'm not kidding. You can't make this shit up! They can't grab a Bodum or a Mr. coffee in a pinch to serve coffee in a $&@! STARBUCKS?!!!! Lmfao. I have to say this was one of the worst Starbucks locations I have ever visited. It sits in busy Market Street Shops in Lynnfield and is direct in the center of this shopping plaza in quite a busy spot. First off the place is disgustingly filthy and unkept inside, with sticky, dirty tables, a dirty floor, counters and the such and its one of the smallest Starbucks I have seen with no inside seating and a few nasty tables outside under a half roof canopy of sorts. The ordering process is a mess and the staff could give a care less with order taking and the process needs work. There is this overly large screen on the wall showing who is assigned to working on your order, like the customer should care and its complicated where to pick up your order, if its ready, when its ready etc. Hey Starbucks, why not do some sort of quality control and do some checks on your locations. I really only go to this Starbucks because it's close and convenient but if you can go to a different one I would. They're almost always out of something, and I ordered the pumpkin bread today and they were too lazy to even take it out of the little plastic bag it comes in. I wish I could give this place less than one star. I came here tonight with some friends, almost everything was out. I got a refresher, and I asked for them to not add ice, the guy working at the register told me that it would be half empty, and if I wanted to fill it, I would be charged quite a bit more. I was surprised, as I've never been charged extra for a full drink. I wasn't going to complain or anything, so I just took the ice, although, I did request for light ice. The lady who made my drink completely disregarded my request. The drink was probably a bit less than half filled with the actual drink mix, and the lady dumped a big cup of ice into it, not even completely filling it! I was kind of disappointed at this, as it's never happened before and I have never been told to pay more for a full drink. The drink was obviously very watered down and I feel that I was ripped off. Overall, the customer service was horrible. They even got my friends order wrong! Along with all of this, the tables were sticky, had crumbs on them, and the bathrooms weren't clean but somehow cleaner than the main floor! I'm just very upset with my experience in general today. Can I give less than 1 star?? This is by far the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. The customer service is absolutely awful, from literally everyone. Everyone looks like they've just been made to eat a cat shit sandwich and wash it down with used motor oil. They can't be bothered by your presence let alone answer a question or acknowledge that you're a patron in their business. *If* I manage to get someone's attention I'm met with a rude, snap of an answer and a cold shoulder. Except Doug. Doug is awesome. It's too bad this isn't his main store because when Doug's working, it feels like a nice local coffee shop. So I love the place here. It's in Lynnfield's outdoors mall. I love the open windows. What I don't like? The stacked boxes just outside the windows by the bathroom that's a clutter. All the crumbs all over the floors. The unkept area at the self service area and the unswept floors. The bathroom was better than the main floor so I guess that's a plus. I ordered 2 drinks - an iced green tea - no water and little ice. I got near a full cup of ice in it. - caramel macchiato - sugar free vanilla I got a regular coffee with sugar free vanilla instead. I asked the barista if it was a CM. She said no, it was regular coffee. No apologies except that she read it wrong. I waited while she made a new one. She didn't make it. A guy did. Again no apologies. I removed some of the ice from the iced tea and he added more tea. That was all. I see why the reviews are so bad here now. read more

Clearly this was stepping over the line. We're *so* sorry. We have come to realize the way you snapped at each of us is completely acceptable. When you heard us talking privately, saying that we didn't understand why you were rude, and you made another jerk comment, we definitely should have let it slide and not told you outright, in front of a store of customers, that you don't have to be rude. I'm just happy that your location is not the one I go to every day. No amount of peppermint mocha goodness is worth putting up with a sour attitude like yours. I've been a regular go-er to Starbucks all over the world for years, but never have I tasted a coffee so plain as what I had in Market Place at Lynnfield, MA today. We ordered two take-out tall cups , one cascara latte (which is my all time favorite) and one maple pecan latte. I was absolutely stunned when I drank the coffee back in my office! They tasted more plain than the coffee from K-cup. If it weren't for the slight hint of coffee, I would suspect I was drinking milk with suger. and not even the good kind of milk, but fat free. So basically, I spent $7 to drink what can only be described as - coffee machine washing water with fat free milk and 0-calory suger. Starbucks should consider using this as product name to avoid confusion in the future, especially at this Lynnfield location. read more

I'm giving it a three-star because I mobile ordered and they made my drink wrong. Which is okay but then I asked him to remake it and he said that it was a secret item menu. How is it a secret item menu when I can order it on the app?! Then I asked the guy making my drink and he said that it was just an uncommon drink that ordered there. Which is fine I understand. But the guy who said that it was a secret item in you gave me such a big attitude when he was trying to explain to me that it was a secret item menu. There was also another time when I had ordered the Starbucks doubleshot and the girls made it completely wrong. I would have said something but they had such a long line that I felt like it would just be much more of a hassle to get a remake than to drink my drink which also tasted burnt. Most of the times I don't mind waiting for the remake cuz I understand that some drinks are uncommon. And most of the staff is pretty friendly but the attitude with the guy and him not knowing that the drink is actually on the menu really upset me. Three stars since fair to me. read more

Long story short, the Lynnfield Marketplace location really keeps up with their barista promise. Starbucks needs to button up on Service and making it the same experience at EVERY location. I enjoy the food, different blends, seasonal favorites; and who doesn't love the rewards and happy hours?! Been to this place several times even when it was busy and didn't have any issues. Unlike another Starbuck's location that made me wait nearly 15 minutes while 5 people filled all the on-line specialty drinks that were coming in; the young lady here who took my simple, good old fashioned plain house coffee order with a smile and thank you, had the common sense to just turn around pour my coffee and I was out the door in a minute. There is one girl who is SOOOO rude, and she legitimately barks orders at customers and makes you feel like you're wasting her time. In her defense, there were four people on two cashiers (odd) and only one barista. I'm sure the barista was swamped, and it just wasn't efficient or conducive. It was loud and busy, they had lost my drink, and after I had repeated my simple request three times (medium iced coffee - nothing complex) the barista started snapping at me in an unbelievably aggressive tone, and then yelled at me from across the counter. This Starbucks has incredibly rude staff. I am never one to complain but today I had to. I asked for my drink to be re made because it tasted like pure pumpkin spice and soy with no coffee at all. She did re make it, but without apologizing or saying a word to me once she handed it to me. Once I sipped it, the coffee wasn't any different ..it still tasted like the last one. Unfortunately I had to get back to work and could not ask her again to re make it for the 2nd time. After my shift I went back and asked for a refill because I am a gold member and I am there on a regular. A different girl told me that I couldn't get a refill on a decaf coffee. So I told her what had happened earlier and she said ok then I'll make it but was very rude and you could tell on her face she was annoyed. When she handed it to me I thanked her and said I really appreciate her making it and she completely ignored me to continue talking with an employee . I have worked in the food industry for years and have never ever treated someone rudely especially if they were un happy with something. You seriously need to re staff this location. Also , the 2 girls that I have mentioned are not the only ones that have been extremely rude and unfriendly at this location. read more

Gave us a hard time about giving extra carmel drizzle that we paid for. A customer knocks off one of the coffees and an employee looks to the other and says can you grab a mop.
