The interior of this location is basically Seattle - University Village, circa 2003 (I was there!) - complete with the chessboard tables, the "Starbucks Happenings" bulletin board and the tall cushy chairs by the window - furnishings you don't see in the newer locations, either in Seattle or in Istanbul. With the Bati Atasehir location permanently closed, this Starbucks doubles as my office when I'm in Istanbul in the summer months. The upstairs seating area is vast and allowed me to make good progress on my dissertation in air-conditioned comfort last summer, and the staff here are reasonably friendly even though my Turkish language abilities are severely limited!
Small note: some of the photos posted here seem to be for the nearby Gardenya location. This location is on Atasehir Blvd. in the Ata-blocks with a sweeping view of the ever-changing Metropol construction site and has a relatively small outside seating area. read more
