I think this is the first Starbucks that I went to where I realized they had installed a keypad to use the restrooms. You might be wondering 'hey, aren't you going to talk about the food?', and I might as well tell you now: nah. I mean, it's Starbucks, the products are pretty much the same anywhere. There's some stuff that you might not find in other countries, like the 4 cheese scone, or the dulce de leche frappuccino, but it's all okay.
I really dislike the keypad thing. First of all, because even though they're not exactly refusing to let anyone use their bathrooms (cause that would be illegal, as far as I know all restaurants and cafés must open their restrooms to the public without mandatory purchase), I think the message is loud and clear. The code is printed at the bottom of your receipt, in case you're looking for it. Second, it's annoying to have to press a keypad to go to the restroom (I mean... ew, last thing I wanna do is touch more stuff in and around a public toilet). To either memorize the four number code or bring your receipt to the toilet.
Okay, I'm done with the bathroom talk.
This Starbucks is kinda nice: there's like a deck on front where you can sit if you like fresh air- oh, wait, no, this is microcentro. It's very loud. There's tables and couches, the back of the Starbucks (where the restrooms are, I guess I wasn't done after all!) is more quiet and comfortable. It gets busy, though, but so do most Starbucks.
I really like my venti coffee with soy milk, and I like Starbucks. Where else can I get half a liter of sweetened soy milk with coffee? read more
