Why can't you go over there and she said she doesn't want to use her own money and city brew wouldn't let them have a store card to go get milk if they ran out so then she gave me two coupons that were half off because she didn't have a free drink. She couldn't refund me my money I paid for a drink I didn't get and then the next day they closed so I never even got to use my coupon

Also, I sat in the shop so long that the adorable girl working offered me a free tea! It was so nice and I would for sure come back here again. JoyHouse is rightly named!

From here I took home bag of lightly roasted Ethiopian beans and made delicious pourovers for a month. I've had many pourovers at this point but these made some of the most memorable cups. During my visit I picked up a medium cold brew (excellent!) and avocado toast (avocado, tomato, sprouts, hemp seeds, chia seeds on multigrain bread, $6.00). The toast was splendid. I found no browning of the avocado and the tomatoes were fresh. I do think the bread could have been toasted longer. The service was a little awkward. I waited at the counter for a solid three minutes before I finally waved down a couple baristas chatting away. This is fine, I'm a pretty patient person and I will always support building healthy relationships with coworkers. The awkward part was the blank, unresponsive stare I received from one of the girls. Like I was breaking something up. I'll be using the drive-thru if I ever find myself here again.

It was lovely! My parents enjoyed their latte and drip coffee. The prices are great, especially when I don't have to spend $8 on a latte. The only thing I did not appreciate was they didn't post what the prices were in the pastry case (the labels only had what it was, not the price too). All in all, a great experience and a great variety to choose from. I'd like to go back to try their breakfast sandwiches.
