Starbucks at La Maquinista Mall in Barcelona is a busy mall location, the interior is small, yet attractive, and feels recently refurbished, supported by a larger seating area outside. A lack of space between tables does make it feel a little uncomfortable though.
Based on older reviews, it appears the recent refurb only made the store look a little better, rather than improving issues which the store had previously such as distribution of tables etc.
I found Starbucks in Spain to be fairly typical of most Starbucks within EMEA, prices seemed to be a little higher than back home in the UK and international Starbucks cards, such as those from the UK and US are. not accepted.
The staff spoke basic English to take my order. I ordered a Venti Iced White Chocolate Mocha. The quality of my drink was poor, the milk used tasted so unpleasant, it overpowered the rest of my drink, and I could barely taste the coffee.
2* - If you're looking for a quick coffee while shopping at the mall, this is one of the few options you have, but if you're looking to spend some time here to work/study/relax, I would avoid this place. read more
