I ordered the Milanesa Torta and Licuados with Guayaba (1 liter). The price difference between the 1/2 liter and 1 liter is about 2 pesos, so definitely go for the bigger size. The Guayaba drink was delicious and fulfilling. The taste of guava here is better than the U.S. Guava. Naturally sweeter and it was smooth. No problems at all! The Milanesa Torta was so delicious. The beef was cooked well and almost crunchy feeling. I only got to eat half of it because it was so much! It didn't look that big, but once you start eating it, it fills you up quickly! Definitely a place to enjoy lunch! Love it and will come back again when I visit!

Normally, this would cause a red flag but perhaps it was early or an off night. Los Campos is located on the south-eastern side of Centro Historico district and is an easy walk from Jardin de la Union. What drew us to Los Campos was the referenced diversity of their menu. My companion eats chicken and fish, while I am a vegan and plant-based. Their menu has multiple vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. While the flavors were pretty good, it was the plate presentation that was exceptional and we both felt that Los Campos was a little too pretentious for us. I was limited to order the Chaminones con Mezcal. Mushrooms flambeed in Mezcal with orange zest and dried chile. My wife, although not excited to try, did have the Burrito de Cerdo Ahumado en Salsa Colorado. It wasn't that Los Campos was too fancy, it was more like we, as diners, were more comfortable in other settings. We would suspect that diners from the United States or from Europe would fall in love with the avant-garde interiors and plate presentations. From all accounts, that all seems to be true, it's just our style. Our food was good and was plated expertly and I don't have any issues recommending Los Campos for a romantic dinner out for a couple.

I ordered the Chilaquiles de la Casa with conchinita pebil (slow cooked shredded pork in a salsa verde and my friend had the chilaquiles with a fried egg. We both had a cappachino with mine having amaretto. The Chilaquiles were delicious but very filling. The coffee drinks were superb. They make some very artistic coffees.
