She is always telling me that once she starts school, she wants to keep coming to Starbright after school, since she loves it so much. My little one is 2 and 4 months and also loves it. We had a bit cold one weekend and Monday was ok, but I still asked her if she wants to go to her daycare or stay home with mommy, she first said stay with mommy , then thought about it and said, no to day care! I saw many preschools before we enrolled, and I think this is the best one for our needs. It's very strong academically, with the right teachers who are in this school for years not change all the time. There is specific program for each age and I can see the progress in my kids! It's all very clean and nice. Kids wear slippers in the classroom and change to shoes when eh go out to play in the nice playground divided into two age groups so that little ones will be more safe and bigger can run without worry. There is musical class with al teacher music playing piano and kids singing and dancing, every day. During nap time, kids sleep in their pj which I liked so much! I don't have to worry if they my kids eat well or warm enough. Even if I forgot to bring additional layer and teacher thinks it too cold, they will always find jacket to put on in addition to make sure kids are warm. There are many additional classes with a fee, but so nice to have all in one place without driving around and then see all theatre shows and recitals where kids perform and sow what they learn. Most kids a Russian speaking, but not all. Some have mixed parents and some have patents who don't speak Russian, but appreciate all re benefits of the school and send their kids so I if you a looking for great school with strong academical program and social skills, that's the ace for you, no matter which language you speak at home.

Being here for 4 years, we've been able to see a lot and meet lots of families. It isn't for everyone. But if it is for you, as it was for us, it's a godsend. We couldn't be more thankful for all that we've learned, the kindness and patience we've received as new parents, and the community we've been able to take with us as we leave. The #1 reason I chose Explorer Preschool was the required monthly Parent Ed Classes. As a former teacher, I love learning but not too proud to admit that I need to pay a school to hold me accountable. Sleep deprivation is a big deterrent. Explorer, however, is special because what we learn is immediately applicable. Parents learn from each other, ask questions we hadn't thought to ask yet. We get the opportunity for our LOs to be loved and supported by a caring community of similar values. We, too, fall in love with other LOs and get to watch them all grow up together in a safe space. We don't have family here, which was daunting to say the least, as first-time parents in 2022. Now, after 4 years, we feel like the close families that we've bonded with will remain our friends for a lifetime. I love how much my LO just goes up to other parents just to have a good laugh, and how much these other LOs come up to tell/share the most exciting news of the day. A lot of families have come and gone in the last 4 years. But the ones that stay until graduation, at least in my experience this year, it says a lot about them = dependable, flexible, kid-centered, sees value in education, team-player, committed, nature-loving, and open-minded (we're in an all-inclusive school). I could go on forever! Thank you, Explorer Preschool!

They threaten you if you talk with other people about the incidents happening at school. Our child was repeatedly hit, yelled at, screamed at, pushed, kicked, thrown sand at. He/she was scared and Explorer Preschool did nothing to protect or help. Explorer Preschool said, "it did not bother him/her to be hit, yelled at, screamed at, pushed, kicked or thrown sand at." The kids that attacked him/her were bullies, the teachers consoled the attacker and then walked away not asking, protecting, helping or checking in on our child. There was a double standard dynamic between discriminated and non discriminated.

Incredible instruction, thoughtfully organized, and a real gem of a school! We will be sending our other children here, but I still want to write a review of my experience about 6 months in. A C A D E M I C S We were looking for a place that centralized academics in their activities, but in a fun, age-appropriate, low-pressure way. I am pleased with the way Learning Pathways not only covers advanced topics for preschool age, but always maintains a fun and low-stress attitude for the children. Additionally, we are really pleased with the breadth of topics: our child has learned about gravity, reptiles, famous artists, acclaimed musicians, and various cultures (Black History Month, Diwali, etc). This is all on top of the critical English and math, of course. Moreover, we appreciate the 3 assessments Learning Pathways administers to each child throughout the school year (September, December, and one at the end of the year). The assessment shows us exactly what our child knows, is learning, and can learn. We also see concrete improvement in specific areas between her first and second assessment, too! O T H E R S U B J E C T S While academics are important to us, we also really appreciate the educational enrichment. Our daughter is consistently exposured to art and music, and she also participates in a wide variety of athletics/sports. Everything is so thoughtfully planned, and I appreciate how LP really makes things fun. T H E S T A F F Staff is attentive, caring, and organized. Communication has been exceptional around administrative things. O T H E R This school year (2025-2026), they relaxed their potty training policy while also encouraging independence with potty training. Our daughter made very quick progress in the first month and is now very independent in this area. Thank you! Moreover, there are a few fun performances for the parents around the holidays. So far, those have been for Halloween and Christmas. Thank you, Learning Pathways, for organizing such happy and adorable memories for us! "Goodness Snakes" came to her class this month, and my daughter really enjoyed being up close and even holding (!) some snakes in a safe setting! LP is super good about taking photos of the children. We get photos (and sometimes videos) daily, and they're always a delight. A R E A S T O I M P R O V E We are thrilled with nearly everything about LP, but there are a few areas I think that could be improved: -Please consider healthier snacks. There are some snacks with a high amount of added sugar (e.g. granola bars and dried fruit), and it'd be much more appreciated to only give crackers for meeting the "grains" category of food. -Additionally, please reconsider Swank's Farms for the pumpkin patch field trip. Not only is it about an hour from LP, but it did not rival any of the local pumpkin patches (e.g. in Santa Clara/San Jose area). Moreover, it was a little surprising that there were not any group activities. My husband took a day off for this field trip so we could become more acquainted with other LP families, yet the school did not even take a photo together. We were expecting some sort of organized activity or interaction between the families, but each family was really on their own (just physically in the same space).

A special thank you to the incredible team--specifically Mr. Todd, Mr. Wes, Mr. Wyatt, and Ms. Michelle. You have an amazing team and we are so grateful!

We toured the place twice and had all of our questions answered in detail by the owner, Alona. The place is very clean and welcoming. There are three teachers for 12 kids which I think is amazing given the prior experience of other daycares where there were two or even one educator for a group of children. Bilingual daycare: predominantly Ukrainian and English languages. All three teachers (Alona, Vlada and Olga) speak Ukrainian which is a big bonus. Our main language of communication at home is English, it was important to me that my daughter is surrounded by Ukrainian culture and language at daycare. There are three home cooked meals per day, I mean HOME COOKED, not snacks but full fresh meals. Lots of variety as well, love that my kid gets soup daily for lunch. Diapers are changed often, more than once every two hours. This was very important to me to make sure my child doesn't get any diaper rashes and stays dry and clean. You do provide your own diapers and wipes to keep on site which I prefer since my child has sensitive skin and I send her with one specific brand of diapers and wet wipes only. They potty train your child. We noticed right away, first week of attending daycare, that our daughter started to communicate and ask to go "potty" on the toilet. They have music lesson on Fridays, piano and violin! The spend lots of time outside and make sure to dress children properly according to weather. They make sure to put a warm jacket, hat, shoes etc on each student when it's cold before heading in the backyard area. Variety of games, crafts, physical and educational activities. Themed dress up days and fun activities like bounce house which my daughter greatly enjoyed. They have structure and follow daily routine that kids get adjusted too. We noticed positive new behaviors from our two year old. And absolutely NO tv! she gets plenty at home ;) The owner is very responsive and timely in communication. Provides daily updates and pictures/videos. Bonus- moms nights and the owner, Alona, is an amazing cook! Moms got to enjoy her cooking skill as well. ;) You can really tell that Alona really enjoys what she does. Every morning when we ring the doorbell, she opens the door with a smile radiating warmth and positivity. I can't recommend this daycare enough, they have a waitlist but it's worth the wait! It's truly a gem. Your child will be in great hands. .
