I won't name names, but my ex-wife now knows exactly what "you've been served" feels like -- and it was delivered with the kind of speed and professionalism that would make Amazon jealous. They tracked her down faster than I can find my car keys, handed over the paperwork like pros, and even managed to stay polite while she... expressed herself. Truly impressive composure. If you need someone served -- ex, business partner, or that one guy who still owes you for "temporary" rent from 2019 -- these are your people. 10/10 would serve again.

Try OnCall Legal Services one time and they will handle everything start to finish including filing a Proof of Service. OnCall acts as my deposition officer, they prepare my subpoenas, they retrieve all my needed documents on old case files, they handle all of my service of process requests, they are handling all the scheduling of my depositions and offer skip tracing for those evasive serves. Then everything is laid out nicely for you on their website for tracking purposes. Have nothing but good things to say about OnCall and I would refer them over and over again. They are just that consistent! Vernon C. Tucker, Esq. Managing Attorney

My situation was an 8-year stint which involved a mom with Alzheimer's, a sister out of state, a house with an encumbrance that my sister and I inherited, a court date, buying my sister out with an enormous loan, lots of paperwork and documents, and a property tax situation. Justin handled this entire process with professionalism. He is very down to earth and such a wonderful person, that it made a complicated matter much more doable. We needed other professionals as well -- a new trust CPA, a property tax expert, and a hard money lender -- and he referred us to all of these nice quality people, who have been incredibly helpful. This made everything easier as we were, many times when necessary, on an email thread together, working symbiotically, which simplified everything. Having worked with attorneys as a court reporter for many years and also having hired a quirky attorney prior to Justin who handled previous matters, moving on and hiring Justin on a fairly complicated matter was a delight and actually resolved some issues that couldn't seem to get resolved with the previous attorney. I always felt confident that he had my back and that "he's got this." Along with being a very professional attorney, I really like him as a person. Although most everything is coming to a close, with a few last hurdles that my husband and I will handle, I will miss talking to Justin! Lastly, how I found him was on Yelp, and what convinced me to hire Justin were all of the other wonderful reviews from his past clients. Hire Justin because you won't be disappointed! :-)

Today, the OWNER of "LA Reporters", told me herself, that I could NOT conduct my deposition AFTER I had scheduled it online, AND it had been confirmed AND I had served the deponents. Additionally, the LA Reporter website allows you to schedule a deposition on a Saturday, but LA Reporter does NOT offer deposition services on Saturday. No one called me to tell me, that when I showed up to my deposition, the office would have been closed. It was by CHANCE that when I called for something else, I found this out. When I spoke to the secretary on the phone, she apologized for the inconvenience and said she would obtain another date for me. "Ok, no problem"..."right"? Well, 5 days later, I still had not heard anything back from this secretary. I call the LA Reporter and end up speaking with the OWNER who apologizes for the secretary also not doing her job. So...the website does not function properly....the secretary does not function properly....BUT.... THEN the OWNER tells, ME the reason why they do not let IN PRO PER conduct depositions is because, "there were too many problems". Somehow, I find this highly ironic since no one at this company can do what they say they are going to do but they won't let IN PRO PER pay them money to conduct a justice driven act....and they "blame" it on problems....when these people are so confused on which end up...I am pretty sure they are the ones who are causing the "problems". LA Reporter....get your act together. Seriously. Who are you kidding?

Like many others who have…read moreleft reviews before me, I was having major trouble serving two defendants who were dodging service and refusing to open the door. The previous process serving company I used had already made four unsuccessful attempts. However, through an ingenious method I've never seen used before, Chris was able to quickly and smoothly complete the service on his very first attempt. He then promptly sent over the completed proofs of service along with video confirmation. I was also incredibly happy with Chris's rates. If this is your first time suing someone, you might initially feel like a professional process server charges a lot for what seems like simply handing over papers, but trust me, his fees are more than reasonable. Unlike most other servers who either charge per attempt or cap their attempts per fee, Chris guarantees unlimited attempts and, if needed, unlimited stakeout time. This virtually ensures a successful delivery unless the person decides to never leave their house again. Knowing Chris offers unlimited attempts gave me total peace of mind that I wasn't going to continuously burn money on failed tries, and I can't recommend him enough if you're dealing with an evasive defendant. Finally, Chris is just an all-around friendly and genuine person. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations; he spent a considerable amount of time answering my questions about his methods and even shared some incredibly helpful tips for the next steps in my case. Chris already has hundreds of 5-star reviews and certainly doesn't need mine to prove his competency, but he absolutely earned it.

I talked to several process servers and explained all our struggles and difficulties. I asked each of them how they would handle the situation if our defendant proved impossible to serve after trying. Chris's answer to that question was a confident laugh and, "I will have him served." That's why I went with him, and I am very happy I trusted my gut. Chris was able to take the limited clues and information we provided, track him down, and complete substituted service when personal service was not realistically possible. What impressed us most was not just that Chris got the defendant served, but what happened afterward. Close to the hearing, the defendant filed a Motion to Quash Service and also sent us a separate packet challenging the service that had not even been properly filed with the court. It was stressful and confusing, but Chris immediately stepped in, provided detailed records, explained the applicable small claims service rules, and helped us understand exactly how to respond. Chris was patient, responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. He did not just serve the papers and disappear -- he stood behind his work and helped us deal with the defendant's attempt to challenge service. The judge ultimately denied the defendant's Motion to Quash and found the service to be valid and sufficient. Serving the defendant was the biggest hurdle in our case, and I am so happy Chris helped us get over it. Now that we've won the judgment, Chris is even guiding us on how to claim the service fee, as it's allowed to be recovered by law. We truly appreciate Chris' professionalism, fast response time, attention to detail, and endless patience in explaining the process when we were panicking. If you are dealing with an evasive defendant, a difficult service issue, or someone trying to avoid being served, I highly recommend Chris and SkipNServe.
