Best haircut in Winchester!. Make sure you call and make an appointment a day or so ahead. Because Jason gives such a great cut, Jason is in high demand so walk-in times are quite long. I've been going to Jason for the past 25 years and I always get an awesome clean haircut, beard trim. read more

My son has unruly, thick hair. He's tried lots of barbers in the past. Whenever they found a hairstyle he liked, it seemed difficult to replicate. Then we found Jason at Star Barber. My son's haircuts are uniformly fantastic, always what he wants. He also has a great time talking to Jason. Being able to make an appointment is great and cuts the wait time to almost zero. Great value for a terrific product. Thanks! read more

This place is basically appointment only. Which is fine, except there's no indication of that fact. I walked in, saw one fellow waiting and thought I'd be able to get a haircut. The barber said hello. It nothing else. I waited 30 minutes, and when it was my turn, the barber did he had an appointment first who was waiting out side the barbershop, and there was another appointment after that. If I had known he was booked through the next hour and a half, I wouldn't have waited 30 minutes for haircut I wasn't going to get. Just beware - make an appointment. read more

I've been going here for at least 6 months. Jason is an extremely good guy and works as hard as anyone I've ever met. He remembers everyone and once you settle on a haircut he has a photographic memory of how to cut your hair forever. He also remembers your name after one visit. It's sort of crazy. He does a great job on my hair for a fair price and is extremely efficient. I have no plans to go anywhere else. A few tips: 1) Don't walk in and expect to be seen right away. Because, 2) His repeat customers schedule an appt. So he's going to keep the schedule and fit you in as he can...which could be awhile. Also, 3) Schedule the next day only. Not two weeks from now and not today at 4pm. This is advice I rec'd from another client of his and it works 100% of the time. I think one time around Xmas I had to schedule two days out, but that's only happened once. It feels good to support hard working local business people that offer a good service for a fair price. read more

After reading several reviews I walked into this barbershop expecting a long wait. Sure enough I waited 2 hours from my haircut. No I was okay with this wait because I was a walk-in and I assumed I would receive a quality haircut. I'm not sure if I said something to upset the guy because I didn't really say much at all, but I spent 7 minutes in that chair total. I asked for a fade and what I got was essentially a buzz cut on the side of my head and a choppy mess on top. I was speechless, so I paid the guy and left and only once I got in my car did I realized that there was a whole line on my head where he hadn't even cut the hair. If I could give negative Stars I would. I went across the street to a Hispanic Barber shop, the guy took one look in my head and asked me if I got my haircut across the street..... Apparently this is common! WTF read more

Call at least a day in advance for an appointment and he will have you in the chair within 5 mins of your appointment time

I was a customer for 28 years and today I am no longer. I got there just after 6 a.m. and after waiting through two customers before me, he took an appointment that just came in. Then he rudely told me he has three appointments. He knows I moved away and still come to him from 26 miles away. He could have told me instead of letting me sit for almost an hour before telling me. He is a quality barber but I must replace him with someone who values me as a customer. read more

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Jason rocks. He is quick and in high demand but I absolutely don't mind waiting my turn to sit in his chair read more

Had my first visit here while visiting from California. My first choice wasn't open until noon so I stopped here. When I walked in only one patron was inside with the barber. I got in around 10:30am and managed to get my haircut with Jason. Awesome cut. Followed the instructions I provided. Incredibly inexpensive but cash only - no ATM in the store. Also, the bathroom was not functional and I had to hold it together besides this all was well. Thank you Jason! read more

Star Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Winchester, Virginia

Very good place to get a haircut, I've been going there for years. Jason is really great at giving haircuts

Don't waste your time. First you go in and wait, while the temperature is set at "sauna" level. Then after everyone in front of you gets their haircut, and you think it's your time, the barber picks who he wants to take next and makes up some crazy excuse why the people that walked in 30 - 45 minutes after you should go next. I will never step foot in that place ever again and you shouldn't either. There are plenty of other establishments in the area, that know how to treat their customers and take them as they come in. read more

Well this guy has cut my hair for three years. When COVID hit he suffered as many business owners did and I feel for Jason. But the guy refuses service to individuals who are wearing masks as he requires but if he heads you mention your personal opinion regarding the virus, and it doesn't meet his view of the virus, then he refuses service. Even though there is no mask mandate in the state he practices in. He refuses to do any beard services while maintaining the same pre COVID prices. The end of this barber shop is near. It used to be packed with people.now you go into a primarily empty shop and he takes people who walk in hour after you and says they have appointment. But when you ask how you can make an appointment for yourself he can't answer you nor have I ever heard him Take an appointment over the phone while sitting there. read more

Best haircut in Winchester. Jason and his team painstakingly take their time make sure what you get is nothing but the best!

Cheapest and best haircut I've ever gotten. Wish this guy had more shops around the country, currently stationed in California and can't match same quality and affordability anywhere. read more

Great Barber Shop. Jason, the head Barber gives nice cuts. Good value too. might want to call ahead to see how the line is, as they are very popular essecially on the weekends. read more

First let me say I have been coming here for almost 10 years and I know this business only accepts cash, but for those that do no know well NOW you know. Second I have to mention Jason is an amazing barber. He is very friendly and very efficient. His dad who is the other barber in the shop is pretty awesome too. I love coming here because it is very cheap $8 for my sons haircuts and the quality of the haircut is out of this world good. read more

First time I used Jason, he gave a great haircut. Second time today was a disaster. Told him not too short and not too long. I was scalped. He obviously cuts it the way he wants to cut it. Enter at your own risk. I will not trust him again. read more

I had a pretty disappointing experience here. The barber gives a great haircut, I will say that. Today was my third time here, and I asked how many people were in line - 2 he said. He told me to sign the list and write my number and I could wait outside. So I did - for over an hour. When I started noticing people coming out of the shop who entered After I was in there, I went in and asked how many more people are in line. He said a couple people and pointed to some new faces. I told him I'd been waiting in my car over an hour and wrote my name like he said I should. I told him he said he was going to call me when it's my turn. He seemed agitated and said that these people are waiting. He said he could see me next. I just left. The thing is, I would've waited inside like everyone else but he told me he would call when it was my turn. I had even written down my time and phone number to help him figure out who's next. Still in search of a good haircut in town with someone who will honor time slots. Also just generally good customer service, not sure why he should be upset with me?! read more

Worst barber in Winchester. Only the owner speaks English. I told them how I wanted it cut. But he cuts it how he wants. Will take 6 months for my hair to grow back where I like it. Wish I knew when I was telling him how I wanted it cut he didn't understand a word I was saying. read more

Jason is mostly busy with long waits If you're in a hurry there's his uncle and cousin. Same good customer service read more

Great haircuts, great prices, Jason is a super nice guy but the wait to get your hair cut is TOO. F#%!?G. LONG. If you work a 9-5 and have to get your hair cut on the weekend, it is perfectly normal to have to wait 2-3 hours to get your hair cut. I drive all the way from Martinsburg but I think I'll just spend the extra money to avoid the drive and wait. read more

Finally I found a place I feel happy taking my son to. My little guy was "blessed" with two cow-licks so it has aways been difficult to find someone who knows how to make that work. I am so happy with his hair each time we leave Star Barber and it is actually the cheapest place i've taken him to. I definitely need to mention the great customer service also. It's great being welcomed by a friendly face. **Cash only** read more

Best barber in town. Best hair cut for the best price. You have to wait a longggg time most days but it's worth it! Jason is one of the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He never forgets a face he'll know what you want everytime. I won't let anyone else cut my hair. Highly recommend this place! read more

Had the barber take a zero to my head and many spots missed. I asked at the end for my neck shaved and they said they don't do that. Very disappointed. read more

Good barber shop. Very detailed in the cut and meticulous. As another poster said, call ahead as the line is long and can easily be an hour + wait on the weekend. Kids loved the airplane decor and we all left with good cuts. Certainly the best cut I have had in Winchester hands down. Just a bit on the slow side. read more

Best barber shop in Winchester by far!!! Jason and his crew are very friendly and remember exactly how you want your hair cut. They do a fantastic job, even making my thin hair look good. And their prices are very fair. You may have to wait 20 minutes, but it's worth it. read more

This has got to be the BEST barber shop ever! Head barber Jason, always makes each and every customer feel welcome! It's all about customer service at Star Barber Shop! They give a first class cut every time -- and the price is awesome! One of my coworkers goes to Star Barber all the way from Ashburn! I live in Leesburg and do not mind the enjoyable ride out to Winchester to have Jason cut my little grandson's hair! My two nephews are Marines, and they will drive from Warrenton to Winchester to have Jason give them their "high and tights" whenever they are home on leave! You cannot go wrong at this outstanding shop! However, the shop is always busy, so a quick telephone call might save time. Jason even keeps the shop open half a day on Thanksgiving and on various other holidays!! read more

i went today at 3:30 pm for my haircut and waited for almost for an hour. The barber was discussing politics with his customer while the customer was in the chair and cutting was in process. I asked him that how much more time you will take to finish this. He very arrogantly and rudely replied it may take one more hour to finish his hair cut. I asked him again that i have been waiting here for the last one hour but he replied in a bad-mannered and instructed me to come tomorrow or after an hour because the customer in chair is my friend and discussing politics. So i left the shop and will never go again to his shop again. read more

Great haircut from Jason and very friendly. $8 for a cut, can't beat that. I described the lengths I wanted and showed a picture for illustration and he nailed it. The cut was 10 minutes max. Only two barbers were working at the time so I had a short wait. read more

The really old guy that's chair is in the middle, SHOULD NOT cut hair!! He ruined my son's hair and didn't do what was asked cut all of his curls off when he was told DO NOT CUT THEM! I'm beyond pissed! read more

Jason is the "best barber" in Winchester. Go early on the weekend because there is always a line of customers.

Spent about an hour here between the relatively short wait and the very thorough haircut and beard trim on my husband. The three gentlemen cutting hair were all very meticulous, exact, and serious about their work. They clearly took great pride in their work, and every man or boy that got their hair cut got their full attention and time when it was their turn. My husband's hair looked great! Also, I was very impressed with the friendliness and patience exhibited towards the children in and out of the barber chair. read more

After waiting TWO HOURS when there were only two people in front of us my son and my husband walked out with the worst haircuts they've ever had!! We then had to rush to another barber before they all closed to try to fix these horrendous hair cuts. Don't go here read more

I have been to several barbers in Winchester and Jason gives the best skin high fade that I have found. Thought I have to admit that I have not stayed because the wait has been too long in the past, Jason said today (1/6/17) that he is adding two new barbers, which were in the shop today training, very soon! This means I will definitely become a regular! read more
