*3.5 star review * Maple Leaf Lounge was closed so I had access to the Star Alliance one. Decent lounge with a variety of options. The staff was super kind and that made the difference. If you have lounge access, check them out and sit back and relax before your flight. Allow enough time to pass security and passport stamping after the lounge ;-)

Enjoyed our time at this lounge today after we landed from LAX to CDG by way of Norwegian Airlines. Checked in using my priority pass membership, they allow 2 guests to go in with you which worked out perfectly for me. Spacious, modern and good way to relax before the next flight. Husband even took a quick shower to refresh. There's an upstairs super quiet. A garden for smoking or getting some sun and fresh air. Food was enough and there's soup & charcuterie board too. Lots of drinks to choose from including alcohol.

Nice lounge with a variety of seating, electrical outlets, free food/drink/alcohol, bathrooms, and showers. The decor is okay. Not beautiful, but not distractingly bad either. Just... nice. There are some minor issues here that add up: One of the urinals in the men's restroom is broken; they only have tiny cups for water and tea (what if I want to hydrate or make a big mug of tea??); some of the electrical outlets don't work, which was frustrating because I forgot to check the charging indicators and I ran down some battery on my laptop and phone that I would have preferred to save for my flight; the eggs were down to 1-2 cups worth and then empty, even though I showed up before 7am, and it doesn't seem to be replaced very fast; the croissants are meh; WiFi is slower than most cafes in Paris... and it goes on. Anyway, lovely lounge overall and it's not like I would rather be in the main terminal area. WiFi: Slow and unreliable. For example, only after a short while of inactivity on my phone, it disconnected and I had to re-enter password, but then had to open a browser app and open a page before it fully connected. Another person next to me was having similar issues. Bathrooms: Much cleaner and nicer than regular airport ones, but would have expected better.

This is my favorite nook in the lounge. It has dim lighting, is quieter than main area, has ample outlets and near the garden terrace.

To the right after you enter is the main food / drink area. There's self-service champagne which I love. It is a bit early for champagne for me normally, but I went with it today. :) to the left are more individualized work stations and a quieter atmosphere. The bathrooms and showers are also to the left. The hot food selection was kinda meh. Eggs, bacon, beans, little dry hash brown patties, congee, broccoli with no taste, fried rice with no flavor, etc. the charcuterie board was lovely, and the little cupcakes were cute. There is a decent drinks selection, several nice coffee stations, and a fantastic loose tea selection as well. There are sleek private bathrooms, and shower facilities. The employees that I came across were friendly and they were keeping the place looking tidy. Overall, not a bad place to spend an hour or two at CDG terminal 1. Peace.

Jamie W and I spent our last two hours in Paris here, and gratefully it wasn't as crowded as other exclusive airport lounges. There was plenty of seating available, and they even had an outdoor patio if you didn't mind the constant roar of jet engines (Photo 3). We took advantage of the complimentary lunch buffet even though it had the presentation of warmed over plane food. The meatballs and potstickers weren't too bad (Photo 8). Unfortunately, the Air France lounge in CDG Terminal 2E L was a major letdown. The showers were the biggest issue. Broken or missing knobs on the shower doors, visible black mold throughout the grout, and body hair on the walls made it feel like the space hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. The toilet seat in the same area was dirty, the hair dryer didn't work, and the room itself felt unbearably hot. This is not what you expect from a premium international lounge. The rest of the lounge wasn't much better. Many of the seats were worn, torn, or stained. The carpets had visible stains. Food options were pretty poor overall, and both coffee machines were in disrepair during my visit. There is a rest or sleeping area, which I was fortunate enough to get access to, and that was the one redeeming feature of the lounge. Compared to other lounges I've visited, especially American Airlines lounges or the Flagship Lounge at CDG, this doesn't even come close. The difference in cleanliness, upkeep, and overall experience is stark. The only reason this lounge earns two stars instead of one is the staff. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and kind, which helped soften what was otherwise a frustrating experience. Overall, this lounge needs serious attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and basic amenities. For a major international hub and a flagship airline, this experience was far below expectations.
