Always good service. If they don't have it they tell me where to get it. Pick of goods is easy. Good selection and there is someone to help you. Returning old toner is convenient. Usually the prices are competitive with online prices. Store hours are good except on Sunday's they close at 5. read more

I came here looking for rolling cart and asked the staff about it. He was not sure but to his credit, he went to ask his coworkers and once he knew where they were, he took me to the location. He also helped to bring down the item which was on the top shelf. Later when I was waiting in line to pay, another staff came over and asked if he could take my item and put it at another counter so I did not have to carry it while waiting. That was unexpected but much appreciated. The rolling cart was getting heavy. Great customer service over here. Putting the rolling cart together was relatively easy. Much faster if there are two people doing it but it is do-able to do it alone. It just takes an extra 10 minutes. I have been back several times to get other stationery and stuff here. They even sell masks and hand sanitizers. You can get stuff printed here and other business help. Parking is available in the tiny plaza and most spots are indicated for staples. read more

An upgrade to my phone plan was fraudulently put through via an agent at this store. Someone forged my signature on a contract with the cell phone provider and approved it. I had to spend hours on the phone with Virgin to unwind this, and after a visit to the store was provided with no explanation for how this happened. This occurred several months after I had talked to the same sales agent who put this contract through. She had taken my info and offered me this exact plan that I was "upgraded" to. Be cautious about sharing any personal info with anyone at this location, particularly anyone trying to sell you a phone plan. read more

What a miserable place... Terrible service every time. Printing is expensive. Worth making a real effort to avoid.

Terrible attitude and customer support at this North Van store. Shredding service was not what they advertised on the web. Had to list 50 pound bags myself to counter height scale ( I'm a petite retired woman) and even cut my fingers on their self serve bins. Awful experience. Never shopping at Staple again. read more

One of Staples newer stores, and one which is closer to the area I live, this is a store I frequently visit everytime I visit Tisol next door. They have a great selection of stationary, but what really gets me at this store, is there selection of other things, like computers, cameras, electronics, and video games! This store also seems to have the tendency to have better sales than some others I have visited. I even asked the question to a person working there, and they said sale prices are dependent on stores. I think not many people know about this Staples, and still go to the one on Lougheed Hwy. Well, remember next time, if you live near Renfrew, you do not have to go all the way to Brentwood to go to this store! read more

Interesting how they have 2 Staples stores so close to each other. (the other is by Lougheed and Gilmore). This one tends to get neglected, as it's tucked further in away from the street. Parking is available in front of the store, as well as in the side lots. The inside look and feel are typical for this chain. Not as nice as some of the competition, but most items are organized logically on the shelves. Staff are a bit lacking here. I had to wait around several times to look for someone to help me, and there were only a small handful of customers in the store. With that said, they were able to help me find what I needed. As strange as it may sound, Staples is actually one of my go-to places for computer parts and accessories, besides just stationery. Their pricing will often beat out the likes of Best Buy and NCIX. I find myself buying from here more than I'd like to admit. In addition, they're actually authorized dealers for many product lines. The selection may not be the best, but the lines that they do carry are generally superior to the competition. Be sure to also check out the deals at the bargain bin. Many times I find decent items on clearance. I guess they go through so much inventory that these small bits simply aren't worth selling at full price. Great time to load up on stuff. read more

I dropped by Staples this afternoon at around 2:35 pm to buy china "markers" (those wax pencils that let you write on glass, metal, etc.). I had already browsed the art and drawing supply sections a couple of times over but I couldn't find them. So I asked the first employee I saw (didnt catch his name) for help in finding the china markers but he was rude and acted annoyed when he said, "They should all be there. You mean the permanent markers?" I tried to explain what they were but he was still dismissive. I wasn't gonna let that bother me so I tried asking another employee for help. Mohammad at the counter was nicer and suggested that maybe these china markers were an online only item. (I had already checked and didn't see the "online only" label, hence why I dropped in store to check.). He directed me back to the art supply area to look for Andrew. I found Andrew in the drawing supply aisle helping another customer and his son. I followed them to the furniture section since they also needed help with their table. Within this time, another man had lined up behind me to wait for our turn to be helped. It took a while to help the man and his son but when that was all dealt with, Andrew went to help the customer lined up after me. The other customer didn't bother telling Andrew to help me out first but the onus was on Andrew as well because he clearly should've known I was in line before the other guy because I was waiting for his help even while he was in the drawing supply aisle with the first man and his son. I didn't even bother staying anymore since I didn't wanna wait for employees who didn't know what they were doing. First time I've ever walked out of an establishment out of annoyance. Actually, it's the first time I've walked out of an establishment EVER due to customer service. Not gonna give this location 1-star just because I've had better customer service in the past. Today was something else though. You need more than 2 employees on the floor (3 including the cashier) for a place as big as this Staples location. Many people were standing around waiting to be helped but there was no one there to help. If you need china markers, you're better off taking your patronage to DeSerres down the street. They know where their stock is and they have better customer service. read more

This location is not great. It looks like a shanty, there's a surplus of staff standing around at the front not helping anyone. I came here after visiting another staples (Lougheed location) looking for a all in one desktop computer, I had called ahead to assure that I wouldn't be wasting my time coming and that the two units listed in stock at this store were in fact there. Drive across the city, bust into the staff circle at the front of the store to ask someone to find the computer for me explaining that I was the one that called. 20 minutes later someone comes out of the back with a obvious return, a computer in a box all taped and busted up. I said I don't want a open box, I'll take the other. They shrug and say its the only one says they will offer a deal since its a "open box" aka return. The manager comes up and says they will give me 10% off, but only to a max of $100.00, so the computer is 1500 so that's barely over tax (6% and a fraction) I said fat chance on that, what a royal waste of life. It's so draining coming to this ghetto location. So I put back the wireless keyboard and other computer accessories I was going to get, I'll get it all at best buy or LD. I bought airpod pro's and they said this is a final sale, I said what? When is brand new not on sale apple products final sale?! They said no final sale after you open it. I cant be bothered with this crap show. Its like wheeling and dealing in a back alley for crap that fell off a truck. read more

Nothing I went for was on the shelf. Five staff, four customers, but three of the staff were too busy talking to each other to bother. No, I'm not going to interrupt their conversation. Staples is a great store. They always have crazy deals going on and as much as it would seem like they would be expensive, as opposed to going to Walmart or somewhere else for your office needs, they actually have great deals! They have a huge selection of everything, They are conveniently located along Grandview Hwy, and they have excellent customer service! Always enjoy my staples experience read more

Everytime I come here I am reminded why this is my favourite Staples in town. I am always greeted by a friendly staff member upon entering and after a few minutes I always have someone check in with me to make sure I'm finding everything okay and if I need a hand. Sometimes when you have people ask you things like that, you can tell they just say it because it's their job, but you can tell the staff genuinely seem to enjoy being here and want to help out! Their selection and layout makes it pretty easy to find the things you need. I once was on a mad hunt to find a specific type of gel pen and even though with the help of a staff member we weren't able to find them he had someone looking through their stock book while he looked on line for where they may be supplied, I was impressed at the extra mile they took and it wasn't even for my sake alone- they were genuinely into helping out! These guys are awesome. read more

The staff member who assisted me was certainly friendly and helpful enough. She showed me how to scan pages. But the computer or the Internet needs upgrading. BADLY. Being charged $6.72 to scan pages and email them to myself is ridiculous. It shouldn't have yaken that long! The staff member explained that it's always slow. So do something about it. You are ripping customers off! read more

I ordered some stuff to be printed and when I picked it up I thought the price was a little high. I wanted to get some documents scanned and printed. The staff were really unhelpful, a 'why are you bothering me' kind of attitude. I was also told you can only pay for scanning with credit card or store gift card. Totally useless to me so. Worst printing place ever. Countless technical problems, errors with the machines, and garbage service from this apathetic, bored Asian guy. Never come here. I came here to get some lamination done of my e-tickets stubs for my concert stub collection. The guy in the copy center looked and acted emo. I could tell that he hated his job. I felt bad for him. They don't have the 3mm lamination anymore, therefore, I had to settle for the 3mm which makes my stubs a little thicker and hard to put in the binder. They did offer to send my tickets away to get it laminated but I am possessive of my ticket stub 'cause if they get lost I cannot replace them at all. Prices have gone up. A single sheet is now $2 and some change for an 8" by 11". I did get some light blue non xerox graph paper for the layout of my zine. This was the only branch in which I was able to score double sided light graph paper. read more

Be very careful shopping here - the employees don't seem to be too sure about what's going on. I usually like go to this staples to shop because of the parking and the friendly staff, but today a Asian guy dress with black polo shirt give me a very mean attitude. I order a phone online for my wife and I see a stain on the screen, I try to remove but no luck, so I brought it in ask for help if they can remove the stain if not just want to exchange it, that mean I still want the phone. But his face is so like "you want to take advantage on the return policy" and he check the phone back and forth, and give me a very attitude tone "Obliviously there is a screen on the phone". Excuse me if I saw it I won't come in to let you insult me with your attitude, where is the customer satisfaction guarantee now? I went to Staples yesterday to get my report printed and was assisted by a very helpful and kind employee named Charlie!! I highly recommend this Staples when in the Burnaby area. I was a little agitated because of my previous experience at the Staples on Lougheed. Their employees were extremely rude and not helpful whatsoever. I had simple questions that they could not answer and they told me to "go somewhere else" because their colour printers weren't working at the time. Thank you to Charlie, she was patient and took the time to show me all of my options. She also printed my report in record timing and it looked fantastic. Thanks again :) read more

I needed 20 copies of a 16-page presentation printed and binded for work. I had it in Powerpoint format but the Print & Copy associate was able to convert it to PDF. However one page was not converted properly. When I tried to convert it myself, it was fine. The associate I dealt with was nice but need manager approval to reprint that 20x1 page for free. Unfortunately the manager would not acknowledge Staples' error and would not reprint the one page without charging. This was a $287 order and the reprinting costed $24. The reprinted pages were off in colour so the supervisor Tom waived the $24. I was planning to boycott this Staples location but the supervisor Tom was very understanding and left things on a good note. I'll use this Staples again but be more cautious. I typically need something printed here 3 times a month. read more

I went to the Grandview store to return a couple items I had bought there but I only had a photocopy of the receipt. I have returned things to that store before using only the copy but the "manager" was obviously not trained in customer service, or maybe just having a bad day. She was crass, rude and threatening. I was flabbergasted at her lack of customer service and rudeness. Won't be going back to this store. read more

incompetent and apathetic staff. bought my computer and monitor there as well as other things like keyboard and mouse. each time the staff was apathetic and lazy and just wanted to sell you what's on sale.....not caring what your needs are. especially one salesperson named Yogi who kept grabbing whatever was on sale and heading toward the counter thinking I'm just gonna pay for something that doesn't suit my needs. laziest salesperson I ever met the final straw was when I took my computer in for repair. they had it 2 weeks and never contacted me or told me what they're doing. I had to call 5 times and got 5 different stories. One guy said he was working on my computer as we speak, another guy said it's been sent to another shop for daignosis, another guy said they know what's wrong and will call back with a quote which never happened. another guy said they have to wait for the other shop to give a quote on the repair cost. finally talked to the supervisor who refused to give me a refund and give my computer back since they did nothing for 2 weeks had to call the BBB save yourself the headache and grief. go somewhere else for your computer needs read more
