Please read other reviews and avoid this place at all costs--especially if you need USDA paperwork. Before coming, I called and was told the doctor was USDA accredited. When I arrived, I even asked the front desk again, and she confirmed, "Yes, the doctor is accredited." So I trusted them. After my dogs received their vaccines around 5:30 p.m., I mentioned we might be traveling internationally and would need a health certificate and rabies certificate signed by a USDA-accredited vet. That's when the front desk suddenly admitted the doctor is only accredited by California--not USDA. She repeated this several times and told me I'd have to go elsewhere. In short, I was misled. Save yourself the hassle and go to a clinic that actually has a USDA-accredited vet. To make matters worse, the front desk (who claims she's worked there for 30 years) told me to "ask the consulate" because the doctor doesn't know about travel requirements. Completely unprofessional--rude, dismissive, and not helpful at all. And if the doctor is reading this: check your cameras and listen to what your staff is telling clients. I'm not making this up. Even after I wrote this review, the front desk still confirmed the doctor is only California-accredited, not USDA. So either the doctor is lying--or this whole place is a scam. P.S. To whoever replied to my message on GM: why should I have to call your employee when they are the ones who gave me false information, wasted my time, and cost me money? Also, your response said this hospital has only been open for 12 years--yet your staff claimed they've been doing health certificates there for "over 27 years." That's another clear red flag.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR PETS AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I won't write a huge review for this place because it's not worth my time , but they put my cat on the verge of death. Botched neuter job, lied about the cause of my cats now open & very infected wound with muscle showing, CHARGED me for another visit to get it looked at, denied to fix him, left him untouched in a kennel for hours while his condition worsened when he could have been at a hospital getting the help he needed. Also made me wait over 40 minutes for medical records to be printed out for me, which we called ahead of time for & I ended up leaving without them because I needed to rush my cat to a hospital. After reading reviews & getting in touch with other customers here, they have killed dozens of animals with procedures here. I recommend South Orange County Animal Hospital for all your needs, they work with you finically, wonderful staff & sympathetic surgeons. Brett is the only sympathetic staff there , and I thank you for doing everything in your power to help my cat.

Customer service with my husky was really good. Syliva at the front desk was very knowledgable and helpful. Station pet hospital was clean and me and my girl left happy.

The staff at this Pet Hospital are amazing! Our cat was brought in for a $200 spay. We found out she had Pyometra and they said the cost went to $1500. They helped us find donors to help cover some of the cost. But we have since found out that $1200 is twice the average cost for Pyometra surgery. When we got our girl back the stitches were oozing and coming out. We brought her back to Stanton Pet Hospital and they quoted an additional $1500 to fix the incision and infection. The staff was amazing, but the vet rude and defensive; we were literally speechless when she called to tell us about the additional surgery needed. We found a different clinic and an angel donor to help us with the second surgery. I love the staff at Stanton, but do not recommend this animal clinic for surgery.

I brought my Cat in for a spay on a Monday at 9am She was checked in within 10mins and 4pm I picked her up. The staff are very organized, informative and friendly. It's not a fancy building that some may prefer but the prices and professional care are far worth it.

This recent visit, I called them to make an appointment as my cat had UTI symptoms. My cat despises the vet and can become aggressive. I let the receptionist know of this and how he requires sedation so they actually changed my appointment from Saturday to Friday. They informed me that since he requires sedation, it'll be better to come in on Friday. I moved all my work schedule around despite how busy I was to make the Friday appointment work. When I showed up, this kind vet assistant (I don't remember her name but she had colored hair) was able to hold my cat down. She told me another assistant will be shadowing her. This was frustrating because my cat was starting to get aggressive and she seemed very lost and confused and couldn't even input the information into the computer. We had to wait for the vet for another 20 minutes because he was still helping another pet in the other room. After waiting, he comes in to say that there is nothing they can do since he requires sedation. Excuse me? I had informed them from the very beginning when I had made this appointment that he would require sedation. It seemed very unprofessional on their part to make an appointment knowing circumstance and then refusing to assist and provide help. Knowing my cat, he seemed very uncomfortable and it made me upset that I had wasted my time coming here instead of being able to get him the help he needs. Animaid had advertised that they would be able to help, but in the end, they turned us away. As the other reviews stated, Brett is no longer there and it has definitely gone downhill since he left. He truly showed so much love and care to all the animals and was a big reason I liked bringing my pets here. This was a very frustrating experience and I will never be returning here again.

Upon checkin in they will have your pet step on a scale in the waiting room then you're assigned a room for them to assess them. Once all of that is agreed upon, they take them to the back to perform the treatment (if they're getting shots, etc). You pay on your way out. Bonus: they have a welcome sign where they write the animals names that's coming in that day. Our dog can't read . But it makes us smile to know he's welcome.

My kitten meets with Dr. Mares and she is an absolute sweetheart with my little boy. She explains everything in great detail and is willing to work if a certain treatment isn't within price range or if there are any alternatives. My only con for this place is that it's a little pricey but if you have pet insurance it shouldn't matter much. My trips have ranged from $100-300 only because of his recent treatments that include tests for his eyes and lungs. I believe the appointment fee is around $80-$100 though. They also have a wellness plan program if you want to stick with VCA animal hospitals that is like pet insurance but just for their hospitals, I'd recommend looking into it!

Generally I am able to make appointments for them within 48 hours of needing to be seen which is good. However their hours and appointments might be limited sometimes so YMMV. Recently our older dog was having issues and we brought him in. Our first appointment did not go well as he was never seen, they told me to come back the next day which I did. We came back the following day and he was seen for his lack of appetite and urinary issues. In the past everything was fairly expensive but this time took the cake. It cost $700 for an exam, two lab tests and a small medication to increase his appetite for a few days. The worst part is, we did not get any diagnosis since they didn't find anything wrong. They also checked his ears which he is often scratching daily and they said were totally normal also. The next day he was worse so now we are forced to take him to an emergency room and pay double the cost, at a minimum. They also gave me about using our Carecredit card for the payment, which is in my wife's name, even though they know both of us and our dogs for the last two years. They also didn't give us any discount for the trouble of rescheduling on us or being a repeat customer. Imagine going to a mechanic for your car paying $700 and it's worse than when you brought it in? That is the situation as of not.

I want to do my part to help you all not go through the heart ache we had to go through watching our precious pets die slowly die in front of us. I periodically battled with this for years because I don't like 1 starring a business, but Dr. Adams is a trained vet and he should know better. So now after many years, I have decided to inform the Cypress community of what happened to my pets under his care. I lived in Cypress about 8-9 years ago. Something was wrong with my cat, Kookie, so we took him here at the recommendation of a neighbor. My cat was about 5 years old and wasn't eating his solid foods anymore and was barely touching his wet food. Being a first time cat owner, we just thought he was being picky with his food. We noticed that he was constantly straining and trying to use the litterbox. At this point we knew something was wrong. Took my cat here and Dr. Adams assumed he was straining because of constipation. So proceeded to do an x-ray, didn't look like there was blockage and then recommended an enema and fluids because it looked like my cat wasn't grooming himself anymore. In addition, did blood work. Called me to tell me my cat's bloodwork was normal. A few days went by and we brought my cat back in because the receptionist told us to. Again, did fluids again. A week went by and my cat is not eating period. I bring him back in and fluids again. At this point we have spent about $1,800 on my sick cat. Eventually, by the 3rd week, I witnessed my cat collapse in front of me and us rushing to this vet and having to put our poor baby down because his body temp was severely low and was probably dealing with end organ damage. Fast forward to today, I am now a Physician Assistant and have social media to help educate me one of the most common issues to look out for in MALE cats: kidney stones. Previously in my post, I had mentioned that my MALE cat was STRAINING. As a trained Vet, why didn't Dr. Adams have urolithiasis as the top differential of what my cat was likely dealing with. I also have suspicions that he faked the CMP/BMP blood test that would have evaluated for kidney function because I never received a copy of the results. Also suspicious because the CMP/BMP results probably would have showed up as abnormal given that my cat was extremely symptomatic (i.e. not eating, not drinking, and not grooming). Another vet on social media told us if your cat is not eating, not drinking, not grooming, and especially STRAINING, by the time you bring the cat in, it's probably too late. A few years later my Sharpei, Dori, had a mass or tumor growing on him. He was either 5 or 6 years old at the time. My partner handled the vet visits this time around. Anyone in medicine knows that you don't operate on a mass unless you know for sure it's not a cancer. Dr. Adams recommended to my partner to biopsy, but my partner declined. With my partner declining, Dr. Adams still agreed to operate on Dori. A few weeks after the operation, the mass came back with a vengeance. It was bigger and abnormally shaped. Eventually it got to the point where the center of mass became necrotic and he had maggots growing inside of the mass. We only found out it was an aggressive cancer when we took him to VCA emergency to run some tests. The Dr there told us Dr. Adams should have never agreed to operate without biopsy. Within a few weeks, we decided to put him down. He was no longer eating and drinking and he was vomiting fluid. The day we took him to put him down, he thought he was going on a walk because we put him on a leash. He suddenly had so much life and excitement again. Seeing that broke my heart so much because as an owner we didn't do the best we could to protect him so he could continue being the happy dog he was.

Staff here are always so friendly and treats my dog with care. The vet is nice, although blunt and…read morestraightforward. He really explains everything so well and leaves it open to asking questions.
