There is a great number of large print books and audiobooks. I love that new modern libraries have got on the technological band wagon and have ebooks and eAudiobooks and even emagazines. The staff are ready to help and train the non technologically minded. There are numerous leaflets on the resources available for the library. This library really extends itself within the community. Lane Cove Library delivers books, DVDs, audiobooks etc to people who are disabled, or frail and live in the area. There is not a problem in organising this service. The library is located in the middle of the village of Lane Cove. A short arcade of shops is alongside the library. So have a bite to eat before a relaxing time in the library. There is very easy access to people who have mobility issues. And....the library is quiet!

I have a friend that says "liberry" instead of "library" and it bugs the hell out of me. That was a long-winded way of saying that Willoughby City Liberry - which is actually on Victoria Avenue in the dead heart of Chatswood - is super dope, yo. It used to be an old, dark, musty, straight up weird old library with way more adults in the youth section than was seemly, but with the big ol' upgrade that's finished up recently the new 2.0 version is a modern marvel: subterranean, but well-lit and highly organised, like the records hall of the CIA would probably be. There's a wishing tree for kids (I'm calling it a wishing tree, I don't actually know what it is but it looks like a tree and it's in the children's section), you can rent DVD's for free, and they've got some mega-ultra-futuristic upgrades that blow my mind on a regular basis. Like an infra-red borrowing system. Put the books on a magic desk. Pull your liberry card out. And hey presto, that's it. No mean old ducks in pearls, no long lines, just SORCERY and library books. Bringing books back is even better. You stand in front of a little slot in the wall. The slot knows you're there and snaps open, and a conveyor belt fires up. You put your books on the belt. The slot knows when you're finished and snaps shut. And that's it. See? Magic.

Really. This library is great. As I am not a library member I am not able to access the free wifi, but sitting on a comfy couch that has great access to plenty of powerpoints, with all of these other resources at my fingertips.... *thumbs up* If you are looking for a place to chill out and get some work done in Chatswood, this is it. As an addition benefit, there are a tonne of cafes and restaurants around here should you get peckish... :-)

Waverly Library is an important service for the community of Bondi Junction. This place would definetly be a good place for some of the air heads of Bondi to pay a visit in between manicures and piccolo breaks. The library offers a grest area for local students to study in a quiet environment with the option to rent out books and things should they need them. The library is spacious so it's easy to find a quiet corner and lose the distractions. They offer free Wi-Fi which is pretty good when the books become too much and you need an answer fast. The library offers a range of classes here too, encouraging constant learning. I attended a stop motion animation class which was a lot of fun. My friends " Knowledge is Power".

Unless you get there earlier in the morning you will have to wait for a desk to become available. While the library isn't the biggest in terms of space and amount of books, it's still pretty decent for a local library. A major plus is the free wireless internet. I would often bring my laptop to Gordan library while studying for my university exams. There are computers available if you forgot your laptop or don't have a computer and are free of charge- you just need to sign in when you get there. Book drop points are located outside the library which are open when the remainder of the library is closed. There is plenty of parking at the back of Gordan shops, otherwise the train station is close by.
