She ignored the copy of his report., came to my rental when I wasn't home to work on numerous things and never let me know what she had done. Superior WI needs a " Renters Rights Board ., somewhere all the SLUM -LORDS can be held accountable for any WI Statues they break. And especially a "Backround Check" that consumers can access. If they have a right to Tenants background and Credit Report a Tenant should have that same right!! And she Totally REFUSED to buy a Carbon Monoxide Detector. Won't properly fix appliances that were advertised on Zillow! As "In Unit"!!

I asked around and wanted to find the BEST. I was recommended to Assured Home Inspections and after a 10 minute conversation on the phone with Bill, I knew he'd be sure to look into every nook and cranny in our 99 year old home. My agents asked who we chose and when I told them Bill Williams they sighed. I asked if there was a problem and they said, "Well, he's just so detailed - he feels the need to not ever burnt out lighbulb and minor blemish. He's just hard to work with as agents because then people want to ask for a million fixes on houses." I was reassured that I chose the right person! I wanted to know about every blemish! Isn't that the whole point of hiring a professional home inspector?! I wasn't able to be present at the inspection which was very nerve wracking but Bill put me at ease. He called me right after he completed, he let me know that he'd email me the report within a day and then we'd go over every point of the report and that's exactly what happened. After going through the report, I asked him "Would you buy this house?" because it IS a 99 year old house that had a lot of deferred maintenence - he said, "Not only would I buy this house but I'd let my daughter buy this house". Bill is personal while maintaining his professional position. He certainly does not miss a single item in the house. He even noted things that didn't necessarily need to be FIXED but was going to need to be addressed in the coming years. He is just by far the very best inspector out there!

While selling our house a home inspector advised we have our boiler check for leaks and to make…read moresure it was functioning. We called Brent's and asked them to do just that nothing else. We knew our boiler was 30+ years old and so did our buyer. When they came out to do our inspection they said our boiler was spewing carbon monoxide at start up and needed to be replaced because parts were unavailable. After getting a second opinion and talking to the gas company it was explained to us that all gas boilers expel a certain amount of carbon monoxide at start up otherwise they would not lit. When testing for carbon monoxide you wait a reasonable amount of time before testing for carbon monoxide. Our boiler was tested by another professional and the gas company and was deemed usable but old. I truly feel Brent's tried to take advantage of our situation and was dishonest on many levels. 1. I had to call the office to have the invoice read to me because it was unreadable. 2. They wrote the invoice in a way that that made our boiler sound unusable by saying it spewed carbon monoxide and was rusty. 3. When I asked for the cheapest replacement possible they quoted a boiler that was NOT the cheapest replacement per the other company we had come in AND the gas company. 4. When I asked to re-word our invoice because they made it sound like our boiler was unusable and that was untrue.. They told me that would not do that because it was morally wrong and untrue. I guess Brent's Heating and Cooling I would have your office staff look up the definition of morally wrong because lying to sell a new heating system is "morally" wrong. Do not call them if you are looking for an honest opinion.

The inspection cost more than I was quoted, more than the website advertises, and even more than the invoice I was sent after I paid the higher price with no explanation from Mike. I had to ask several times before I got an answer about the higher price. For this reason I can't give 5 stars and would be wary about using his services unless he becomes more upfront about his pricing.

The inspector refused to wear a mask during inspection of my home. This was done without my…read moreknowledge or consent- I only found out from my home security camera. He also allowed the potential buyer, spouse, and child, to accompany him, also unmasked. Home inspection took well over an hour. My house was very clean prior to inspection, yet I came home to filthy hand prints all over the walls, things moved that should not have been touched during a home inspection. Inspector never apologized when confronted, but was rude and stated he couldn't possibly inspect a house with a mask on as it "was the same as a workout". Don't trust with your safety during a pandemic!
