Stanley Steemer did my family room, kitchen tile floor, Sleeper sofa couch and bar stools. Save your money they are not worth it. The two young men did not know what they were doing. They saturated my carpet with water and soap that was not extracted that took a week to dry. There was no steem involved. The kitchen floor had a inch of water when they left that was not extracted or removed. I had to use several bathroom towels to get the floor dry. They saturated my sleeper sofa, ruined the cushions and ruined my cloth bar stools. I feel their lack of experience created a mess. I had to replace the carpet and my sleeper sofa and bar stool material. If I could give 0 stars I would. My phone camera was not working or I would of posted the pictures. read more

I hired Stanley Steemer to clean our air ducts, vents and dryer duct. The night before they contacted me to not only remind me of my upcoming appointment but to confirm the time window they would arrive. Jacob and Dominic came and answered my questions about the procedure. They were professional, efficient, respectful, and kind. They accomodated me with photos, so I could see how dirty my air ducts were. After the work was completed they vacuumed the hallway and areas they had worked. Then did not extract all the water from the carpet leaving it soaking wet. I had to rent a rug doctor to remove the water from the carpet. The google review I made is gone. Called yesterday to get the carpet cleaned because we have company coming with a crawling baby. I had them pre-spot, clean and deodorize, due to having pets. It is drying now, and I do not want to walk on it for a full inspection, but a cursory review, it looks good. My only negative comment is that it cost about $88 dollars more than I was originally quoted when I said that I wanted all the services. read more

Beware! Terrible service and sketchy behavior! We had the pipes freeze and burst at our property, and the insurance company suggested Stanley Steemer to get the water off the floor and mitigate the damage. Mickey came out and refused to remove and mitigate the water, which was all over the floor, because he said "you haven't fixed the pipes yet". That was a nonsensical answer because we had shut the water off at the main valve outside. Not getting the water up right away made the damages much worse Even worse, it turns out that he had some deal with the insurance company and tried to solicit all kinds of information which would've allowed the insurance company to deny our claim! After interrogating us, he finally told us he was also acting as an adjuster for the insurance company. He's spent about 40 minutes in the car talking to our insurance company and would not let us listen to the call or speak to the company. I put a call into the local Stanley Steemer office to speak to the manager about this, and they don't even have the common courtesy to return my call. Beware! read more

The manager contacted me following the weekend; she was receptive to feedback and understanding of my frustration. There is some confusion around what was actually spilt. She stated they don't carry paint thinner on their trucks. She stated the serve man that came denied spilling anything. We moved into our house and noticed a few of our rooms didn't smell as good as the others but once we had them cleaned by Stanley steamer the smell was much worse. I would have given you a zero, if given the opportunity. Your cleaning crew came into my home, and within a month my white carpet had big black blotches, which has since been ID'd as black mold. Had the crew thought I had a mold issue, they should have said something. The lead person didn't want me in the room watching as they were "cleaning" -- they said I would be in the way. I've always been satisfied w/ SS in the past; their crews were always had professional attitudes and seemed to take pride in their work. This was a travesty, in addition to an outdoor item disappearing after they left. It was there before and had been for 2 -3 years. Then it was gone. I replaced it immediately, and it's still there -- a coincidence? I called the owner who said neither of the crew "saw" the item. Don't think so. Did the ownership of this franchise change? This is totally unacceptable and I should have had someone come in sooner to ID the mold. I would have come after SS. Both my cat and I suffered severe allergy symptoms within 2 weeks of the SS visit. I will not use them again !! read more

However, this last time I only had a $20..00 bill in which to tip this crew. As I handed the cash over, I said it was the only cash I had, but perhaps they could get a couple of burgers. The man took the money from me and didn't say thanks, merely "maybe we can get some water." So my sister-in-law called this place to get her carpets cleaned since she's moving out of town. In order to get the place looking nice for her soon-to-be renters, she figured she'd call a reputable place. Customer service was okay and they were able to schedule her the very next day. When they cleaning guys arrived she left to run a quick errand, and not even 40 minutes had past when she received a call notifying her that they had completed the job. FYI...Her house is a 2-story 4 bedroom and 3 bath house! I don't care who you are....getting a house done WELL that quick is impossible! So, she returns, the house smells like a wet dog! She called out the manager and they return a second time (inconviniencing her) and they removed the wet dog smell, but they failed to remove multiple stains - which is one of the reasons she called them out to begin with! She DOES NOT recommend going to these people! Don't waste your money. She obviously didn't know about Yelp.....but I have educated her on it. At least she'll be in Italy the next 4 years! read more

While I didn't expect miracles, I felt like there were some superficial stains on my hardwood floors that the guys could have gotten out, and I resent that they are now sealed in. I also resent the bait and switch pricing - I thought I'd be paying around $300 and it ended up to be $475. I have one room that is well under the 300 sf max per room, but because I have it furnished with both living room and dining room furniture, they called it two rooms. They also charged extra for the hall, although that wasn't mentioned on the website. I chose to be up sold and have them do my kitchen, and I have found dirt pushed into the corners... For $75, I expected better. The guys who did the work were prompt and polite, but I really feel that the cost is not supported by the product. read more

We try to get the cash to steam clean twice a year and Stanley Steemer always does a 5 star job. Yesterday I had two men come and they were quick, polite, and thorough. Horrible quality work. The crew was only in my house about 10 minutes to clean 2 rooms and a hallway. My carpets were left soaking wet looking no different than before. After my toddler walked on them his socks turned black. I feel ripped off. When I called and complained they agreed to send someone out to clean again but I really don't see how they will be able to rectify this horrible work. My wife called to have the house carpet cleaned 1850 SqFt, just to give you an idea. So they showed up and left in 40 minutes, (which sounds standard from reading other comments). I could not believe this. This included them vacuuming, putting down the deoderizer (which i dont smell anything, not sure if I am supposed to) and then cleaning the carpet. I don't see how it is even possible for anyone to do the above on this size house in 40 minutes. The only reason they are getting two stars is because the guys cleaned a couple of carpet pieces 4 sqft for nothing. Thought that was nice. But to clean a house in 40 minutes for $300 dollars is better than the amount of money a doctor would make or close to. It takes my wife 2 hours just to clean the living room herself with our cleaner. Not saying they should spend a day at my house, but come on 40 minutes, oh I forget, that included setup and tear down of the equipment. Unbelievable and I don't see a whole lot of difference yet, it has not dried completely. For the amount you pay them, go buy a nice carpet cleaner, then you can do it when you want to as many times as you want to. My wife thought that they would do a better job than what she does, not a chance of that happening in 40 minutes for the whole house. Buyer beware!!! read more

I disagree with many of the negative comments as we had a GREAT experience with this company. My wife looked at the comments regarding this company before they arrived and was not to happy with me that I chose to give them a chance regardless of what the few negative comments stated. When the guys arrived, they were very thorough with me on what my initial order (which I placed over the phone) included in the special. They surveyed our home and made a couple of small recommendations and we agreed on a price to add these additional services. For a small $20 addition, it was well worth it! The employees of Stanley Steemer know what they are doing and I would HIGHLY recommend them. Our home carpeting looks fantastic again! I didn't realize Stanley Steemer cleans air ducts. Our swamp cooler ducts & vents had never been cleaned by previous owner, and really needed it. They did a great job! Scheduled us quickly, arrived on time, worked efficiently, clearly knew what they were doing, and were pleasant and professional throughout. Even showed us before & after pictures, and the "after" is squeaky clean! What a relief to know that now we're not breathing all that yucky stuff from the vents ... We'll absolutely be back every 3 years to make sure the ducts stay clean from now on. read more

I am getting bids for an Albuquerque commercial carpet cleaning job, approximately 9,000 SF of carpet. I made an appointment. The guy (Darren) came out a day early to estimate; I was not able to meet with the estimator right then. He came back today, the designated day, but unfortunately there was a mix-up on the time. I was walking in the door as he was leaving and the receptionist told me who he was and said he was not happy. I called to him as he was getting to his truck. When he came back in, I point blank asked him if he was not interested (he had an obvious bad attitude going on). He actually said he was not interested because of the way he was treated yesterday and today. There was a 2-hour window for an appointment. He came less than :15 before the close of that window and acted like the only thing I had to do was wait for him. With that extremely poor customer service, I would not trust my job would be done well. read more
