I had not been here at this restaurant equipment company and quite some time. I was looking for a floor scrub brush that was not too stiff. I found one that had soft tsoft to medium stiff bristles. It was perfect. I also picked up a wooden pizza Peel. That was a great price for that as well. 14 inch by 15 inch wouldn't pizza Peel was $11.38. They also carry anything that you would need for a restaurant. From silverware to glassware to dinnerware and food packaging from styrofoam to paper. Stop by and check them out. After we made the mistake of checking out the new place on Menaul (my novelty-seeking gene), we headed right over to Standard Restaurant Supply on Candelaria. As always, the staff was helpful and pleasant. They pointed us to exactly what we needed. This was great for two reasons: I have a bad knee due for replacement soon, and my husband worries that I will keep finding things to buy till I leave the store. We did buy a few more items, and then I went back the next day to buy several sets of woven cloth trivets to give as Christmas presents. They were priced well below thrift store prices. This place it awesome, and open to the public. Really good quality merchandise, I came in to get some bar supplies and a few baking items. Everything is well below what you would expect to pay. I bought a 20$ rolling pin for 9$ a couple large stainless mixing bowls about half off cost too. I would like to go back and get some of the fiesta ware like tableware. I ordered a couple of coffee urns in late April. Still haven't received them! Called multiple times and a couple of times was told, it was on the 'next shipment' and they'd call me back later that day or the next day. 2 weeks later, I can't get anyone on the phone and no one is calling back. I was in the market for some new dinnerware and have had good luck with restaurant quality plates. I stopped in here and was overwhelmed! The selection was huge. Service was phenomenal! Everyone was welcoming, but one young lady named Addy was super helpful. She pointed out the higher quality pieces and discussed which would be better for our lifestyle. They worked with me on price and Addy examined each piece, top and bottom before carefully packing the dishes up! It is a terrific place to shop for any cooking/serving needs!
