When I arrived for my appointment, I did not see Alex So I sat in his barber's chair and waited. After waiting for 30 minutes and speaking to the barber working next to the chair where I was sitting, I asked "Where is Alex." I was then informed he was in Florida. No one in the shop had the decency to inform me that Alex was out of town when I arrived. Alex did not contact me and request that I reschedule due to the fact he would not be working when I was scheduled for a haircut. I have texted Alex twice regarding this issue. He does not respond to the texts at all. This treatment of customers is highly disrespectful -- I will not be returning and I don't recommend this establishment!

I was just passing through and needed a beard trim and I have great anxiety because the last guy really messed it up. But when I walked into blue water, I noticed the polished concrete floors, the wood sliding barn door, the cool and clean decor and of course the motorcycle!! Hahaha we all have our little triggers don't we. Jon did an amazing job on my beard, it was almost like he was actually listening to what I was saying!! A rarity! If this place was in Palm Springs California you would never be able to get in. So do yourself a favor, take the stress and the strain out of getting your hair done or your beard trimmed. I can't say enough good things about Mohamed at VIP Barber! From the moment you walk in, you can…read moretell he takes pride in what he does. The shop is beautiful, clean, and has such a warm, comfortable atmosphere. Mohamed is always incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. My son absolutely loves going to him, and as a parent, I really appreciate how accommodating and attentive he is with his clients. He actually listens to what they want, pays attention to the details, and makes sure they're happy with the result instead of just rushing through a haircut. And it's definitely not just my son -- I've watched other clients walk out of his chair with completely fresh looks, and they always look great. You can tell he genuinely cares about his craft and about the people who come into his shop. His prices are also very reasonable, especially for the level of service and attention you get, which is a huge bonus. If you're looking for a barber in Little Rock who is talented, professional, personable, and really takes care of his clients, Mohamed is your guy. We highly recommend him and will definitely keep coming back. شكراً يا محمد! تسلم إيدك!

I chose VIP Barber based on their 5.0 rating on Google. Unfortunately, my experience didn't match…read morethat standard. I waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time. The haircut itself was fine -- just a simple clipper cut and beard trim -- but nothing special. There was no neck shave, and the razor cleanup was inconsistent. One side was done with shaving gel, the other dry. My sideburns and the lower part of my neck were irritated afterward, and I had to wipe off leftover gel in the car. I've honestly had better cuts at Sport Clips. What stood out most was how rough the service felt. The barber handled my face very forcefully, at one point putting a finger into my eye socket. The chair spins were abrupt and aggressive -- it felt more like a carnival ride than a barbershop. At one point, the spin was stopped with a finger pressed against my forehead. I was in and out in about 22 minutes. I'd also encourage people to read through the reviews carefully. Some appear genuine, but many are short one-line reviews. The shop offers a 25% discount opportunity tied to leaving a positive Google review, which may help explain the perfect rating. Overall, not a great experience. My usual barbershop was booked, so I gave VIP a try. I won't be returning.

Agustin is THAT guy…read more Walked into the shop looking like I'd been through a hard season... walked out ready to shoot a GQ cover. Agustin didn't just give me a haircut -- he gave me a new lease on life. The blend is buttery, the line is razor sharp, and the part? Clean enough to divide opinions at the family cookout. He's the owner of the shop, but he still cuts like he's got something to prove -- and I respect that. Professional, on time, chill vibe, and precise with the clippers. I was honestly lowkey upset I didn't have anywhere to go after this cut. Somebody should've booked me for a photo shoot or at least a casual red carpet. If you're not sitting in Agustin's chair, I don't know what you're doing with your life.
